On another note, I usually wear a size 31 and have two Walts (olive and butterscotch) from the recent Epaulet sale on the way in this size.
The khaki and navy pairs I just bought are a size 32. I figure it won't be an issue if I have to have them taken in by an inch.
Does that make sense?
Two weeks ago, I didn't own a single piece of clothing from Epaulet - now I've got four on the way.
I've got a feeling that these are going to be lifetime investments ...

Believe me, I'm pushing for them. Our delivery should be here on Wednesday, and I'm definitely expecting the Pythons to be in there. You'll definitely be the first guy to know once we get the shipping manifest.Quote:Originally Posted by oboy_oboy
I'm super curious now! And it's really nice to hear about the "elevated basics" approach--it's one of the things I love most about Epaulet.
Speaking of elevated basics, if you really need a Black Friday Epaulet fix, Need Supply has its Regiment Twill Walts marked down to $119 and there's decent sizing still left. Add the SFNOV10 code for 10% off and that covers shipping plus a few dollars.
Seems OK to post this in this thread. While I'm sure we'd all love to see Need Supply sell out of its EP gear at full price, if they are marking it down, it's available to all...and it won't last. Mike, feel free to PM me or just post here if you'd prefer me to take this down.Quote:Originally Posted by Gerry Nelson

WTF??!??!?:
No problem at all - they've got a good selection of sizes available and they're nice people. I don't believe that they're going forward with the trousers, so you guys should definitely grab this opportunity to pick those pants up at a great price. Plenty of key sizes available in our four most popular colors.
And Gerry is entirely right. Good lord. I can PROMISE you guys that our trousers are not intended to fit that way, and I've never personally seen them fit anyone like that. They'll fit great, and the price is very good. Go get 'em!Quote:

Yup. They're very easy to modify. I've altered the waist of a few pairs.post #16927 of 2082111/23/12 at 10:07pm- Posts: 1,706

The fact that he's 6'3" should really be contextualized w/ a weight number, which I'm guess is less than 160.
I'm 6'3" also, and at 175 I'm def tall and skinny. I wear a 32 Walt and they fit great. And alterations are easy--best to base your fit pics on the Epaulet site if you're new to Walts.
I grabbed Navy and I'm pretty excited about them!post #16928 of 2082111/23/12 at 10:37pmHe's 6' 3" and wearing a size 30 - that and the pictures tell me that you're probably right about the weight. In terms of proportions and without knowing your weight, I can tell that your shape is far more in proportion than the model's just based on the height and waist measurements. Trousers I wear in a size 30 tend to look a little too tight around the thighs for me and I don't have big legs by any account. Those size 30 trousers definitely do not look tight on him - a fair bit of room around the thighs.
Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread with talk of proportions
Suffice to say, Thanks for your advice, by the way. I've been using the fit pics here and on the Epaulet site as my guide. The guys on this thread look great in theirs and I like the look.
