Oh great, I'm so glad that you're pleased with it! Adele really loved that copper colorway and it was her idea to make it up. It looks brilliant under a navy jacket or sweater too.
And we're definitely going to reorder the Plum in that fabric.Quote:
Cold wash and hang dry for moleskins. They'll shrink a bit in length after the first wash, so you'll want to either run them through a cycle before hemming or get them hemmed about a half inch or one inch longer than you typically would.Quote:
Thank you sir! Actually, I remember when your order came in, we're trying to ship everything that we have in stock at the Brooklyn store ASAP. Enjoy those trousers!
And for anybody waiting on their order, we received a call that power should be restored in Lower Manhattan by this weekend. As long as that goes through, we can reopen the Manhattan shop and get all the product that we need to fill our outstanding orders. Fingers crossed!post #16324 of 2090011/2/12 at 5:04amHey mike, how nice looking is the fabric on your oxfords? I am looking at the point collar Royal and the cutaway collar (which I prefer) both in blue.i wear a medium. I am looking for a shirt for a wedding next weekend to wear with my navy 120s suit. I know that these are not technically the material used for dress shirts, but I want a blue shirt and your epaulet (not Ashland) shirts are the only shirts that i have ever run across that fit me pretty much perfectly without any tailoring and I will not have time to order and tailor a new shirt... It almost feels wrong as any otr shirt (or especially suit for that matter) SHOULD need tailoring!
If you do have any other epaulet shirt that you strongly recommend, I am all ears. Also, if I order this morning, are you shipping today? It is no big deal but if so I could order today instead of first thing Tuesday.
Also, are the 12oz olive rivets a pretty classic olive? I have been looking for a good not super dark olive casual pant for some time now.
Thanks for the help and I am glad to hear that you guys are all ok.post #16325 of 2090011/2/12 at 7:11amGlad you all made it through the storm. Wasn't nearly so bad down here in Philly. Hope things return to normal for you in NY soon.
Will there will be a restock on the olive moleskin trousers? Searched the question on here, found another person asking the question, but didn't find an answer. Can anyone weigh in? Missed them at first, and, by the time I noticed them on the site, they were mostly sold out. Tried the lovat moleskin on in the store and was impressed by the comfort of the fabric, but think that the olive might work better for fall/winter.

With navy suits, I'm a fan of ginghams and tattersalls as well, and Epaulet's ginghams are done in great fabrics. If you click on the shirting area of the website, there's actually a "Dress" section with a bunch of options.

Great, just what I need, more options! Haha! Thanks for the advice, but I must be blind. I am under the woven shirt section but do not see the "dress" icon. Where can it be found?post #16329 of 2090011/2/12 at 10:40am- Epaulet

Hey there!
We've got a good selection of dress shirts on the site. I'd recommend the cutaway collar pinpoint shirt - it's a lighter shade of blue and will contrast more with a Navy Suit. Pinpoint oxford is very fine, so this is very much a dress shirt.
Another route you might consider is a patterned shirt. Either of these will dress up nicely as well:

Some guys might opt for the patterned shirt as you'd be able to wear that casually as well. Any of these three will look ace! If you order today, I can put this into a mailbox tonight (apologies for the softpack, we still have no USPS pickup) and it will go out with Priority Mail in the morning. I'm personally biking over to the next neighborhood and filling the drop box every night
And yes, 12oz Olive rivets are a really easy, olive color. It's not too dark, and is kind of on the olive side of the khaki wheel, if you will. The fabric is great on those.Quote:Originally Posted by plato

Thanks, we all feel really lucky here. We'll have a Olive Moleskin and Navy Moleskin restock any day now. It's actually on the UPS truck, so provided that I can open my Manhattan store that day, we can take the delivery. Navy Steep Twill and Blackwatch Super 120's are in the mix too. I'll update our inventory the second that it arrives.Quote:
We actually ran those boots two years in a row, but I didn't order them this season. Our Fall '12 makeup is a horsehide work oxford. Different profile, same leather, on a thick Vibram Cristy sole rather than the rubber-latex one. It's going to be a really cool piece, and I'm expecting it in the next few weeks.post #16330 of 2090011/2/12 at 11:15amQuote:
Good to know. Not that I wish you creasing or cracks by any means, I was just surprised how many mine got around the laces. Mine aren't too big, maybe it's just the wear they get. Been getting scuffed up too. Oh well, adds character.post #16331 of 2090011/2/12 at 11:42ampost #16332 of 2090011/2/12 at 12:24pmpost #16333 of 2090011/2/12 at 1:46pmpost #16334 of 2090011/2/12 at 5:55pmI just received a pair of Steinbeck boots. When I opened the box, I literally said, "Wow." The pictures are great but don't do them justice. I have a couple pairs of Carmina bals, and I was still blown away by the boots.
If you're looking for some tough footwear that can stand up to foul weather and still be beautiful, check them out while Epaulet still has a few sizes left.post #16335 of 2090011/2/12 at 10:05pmso i have never purchased any epaulet trousers but was planning on doing so in the next week or so...
in my research, i was under the impression that the Rudy was a slimmer leg than the Walt.
however, in looking at the measurements on the site, the walt has much "narrower" measurements throughout the legs.
so which is the slimmer trouser, the Walt or the Rudy? thanks for the help with the stupid question.Return HomeBack to Forum: Streetwear and Denim- Epaulet shop - Official Affiliate thread
