Are the lasts the same as used by other retailers, or does Epaulet have a separate set of lasts?  I ask because the product pages say that all the shoes are 'US-D' (UK-E) width, but the standard Inca and Rain lasts are 'US-E' (UK-EE) width shoes.

The lasts are the same. Width is a tricky business, given variation in foot shape and the many ways in which a last can be "wide."

But I have to say I am very distracted by the fish and chips too. As well as the Citroen. Worth the visit just to drive those European cars, I'd think.

Thanks! And yes, definitely. The DS3 had a lot of pep and was a really fun drive. Mine had the non-turbo 1.6 and a 5-speed so my biggest complaint is that 5 gears just isn't enough anymore, even in a car this small. If you get the 1.6 turbo or better, you can get it with a 6-speed. Another complaint was the lack of legroom -- as this is a small French hatchback, it still has a very upright driving position that isn't going to be comfortable for people with long legs. In the RHD layout, the dead pedal is oddly placed as well; again, too close to the driver. I don't know if that translates over to the normal LHD cars but hopefully not. Finally, the shifter was very notchy, which made the 1-2 shift in the middle of a roundabout kind of a chore. But the handling was great, the power was adequate for a car of its size & weight, and so it was tons of fun to toss around on English B-roads. I wouldn't buy one but it was definitely fun as a rental for a couple days.

Hey guys!

My apologies for being out of the thread for the past few days - and sorry for all of the PM's that I haven't answered. We've embarked on a mission to completely overhaul the Epaulet website. And I'm hoping that we can bust it out in the next four weeks.

Now, I'm crazy, but I ain't no fool. It won't be any kind of flash animation bizarre over-designed nightmare. It's going to keep much of the basic layout, but be cleaner, faster, easier to sort and search. It will be fully integrated with a shipping client so EVERYONE - not just paypal users - will automatically get tracking info. We'll have blogs hosted through the site and the ability to do more robust preorders and special orders. We'll be able to offer online gift certificates which can be redeemed through the site. Once I have the payment gateway and the basics in place, I'll certainly run it by everyone for feedback before we formally change over to the new system.

So, that's what's been keeping me up at nights and slowly turning my hair grey. But it's going to be worth it!

In terms of product, we mostly launched womens stuff today - which I'll break down for all of you shortly. There's some very good gift ideas in there for the lady in your life. For mens, we've got the Eisenhower jackets coming in about a week. The Big-Ass Carmina delivery should hopefully arrive by the end of next week. And we'll certainly have some other bits and bobs coming in.

Yeah. For some people their torso proportionally makes up more or less of their height. I'm a fairly evenly proportioned person so it works for me (my inseam length is 31"-32" depending on the desired break/no break).

Any chance of a pink OCBD to round out the Holy Trinity of oxford basics? Would rather buy yours than any others for, well, basically every reason.
