Mike, any chance of a restock on the grey v-neck sweater in XL?
Oh yes, we've got an XL available now: http://www.epauletshop.com/servlet/the-1168/V-dsh-Neck-Superfine-Merino-Hand-dsh-Dyed/Detail
Just got my order in... rudy flannel cargos, pepper floral shirt, olive overdye and Rivet Heavyweight Twill Chino Words won't do the pepper floral justice so I won't bother trying...if you're on the fence, just get it!! The cargos are a thing of beauty, the construction on them is amazing and fabric is perfect for fall/winter. The Chino is amazing as well...love the fact that its a heavier weight which is gonna be great for Canadian winters!! Awesome stuff Mike and look forward to the new stuff!!!
Rock and roll - glad that you're so pleased with everything. Thanks!
Got my navy lambswool trousers today, couldn't have arrived any faster if Snowman and the Bandit had delivered them.

They are a bit too slim on my fullback thighs but I'm going to hang onto them since they fit everywhere else and look awesome and I could stand to drop 10 pounds anyway. Too bad I'm creatively addle-minded and need a lookbook to come up with my dressing ideas. What is everyone wearing these bad boys with?
Very cool. You can do two things with them too: 1. Try wearing them for a few hours. Flannel can have a decent degree of break-in, so if they're just a bit tight, you'll probably find that they'll stretch enough to be comfortable. 2. We have considerable seam allowance in both legs, so it's possible to let the thighs out about a half inch if you take them to a tailor.
Mike, any word on a Donegal tweed waistcoat? Also maybe a Donegal tweed walt trouser???
Unfortunately, that's a no on both. The only Donegal that I'm carrying this year is the Southwick for Michael Kuhle jacket. But check that thing out - it's off the hook!
As you can see from post count, I'm mostly a lurker. I received the Fairisle shirt last week and wanted it's a great piece. Wore it last night to the Little Dragon show here in NYC. Unfortunately, I didn't take a true fit pic. Here's a little taste Note: It got too hot in Terminal 5 so my suspenders came down. Luckily, my new found pot belly held up my jeans Looking forward to my next Epaulet purchase. Thinking about a pair of moleskin trousers. I'll have to read through the thread for thoughts and comments on them.
Nice, thanks for posting the pic! The shirt looks great - and I dig that jacket too.

any word on CPO shirt restock? I was able to check them out when I was in NY a couple weeks ago and they are fantastic, wish there had been a large as I would definitely have gotten one.

Got the measurements yesterday! I'll put them into a graphic chart and post them up later today.

Mike: have the short/long measurements been posted anywhere yet? I can't seem to find them on the site.

was wondering the same thing...also, I'll be in the store on Saturday this weekend, will the waistcoats be there yet? I'd love to be able to try one on in person before I buy one.

Southwick for Michael Kuhle
Special Order Lengths for Sportcoats

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for your patience on this! Our patternwork is totally done, and we're now ready to take special orders on lengths for our in-house "Southwick for Michael Kuhle" collection.

Every one of the jackets that we've released so far, with the exception of the Baby Camel Hair, can be special-ordered in Short, Long, or Extra Long (subject to fabric availability). Lead time is about 3-6 weeks.

Shorts are 1" shorter in the sleeves and body. Longs are 1" longer. Extra Longs are 2" longer. The entire shape of the jacket is totally scaled along with this - including button stance and pocket placement. Chest and shoulder measurements stay the same, and you there can be an approximate 1/4" tolerance either way.

Please drop me a PM if you're interested and we can get the ball rolling! Just click on the image below to bring it up full size.

Mike, do any of your customers ever notice that the shoulders are narrow on these jackets? I would love a brown houndstooth in X-long, but on the face of the measurements I have always thought that the shoulders were a bit on the tight side.

Wondering whether I should take a punt... The brown houndstooth sure is beckoning! Especially with matching Rudy trousers.

Awesome, thanks for the long measurements Mike!

To Doctor's point, I have noticed the shoulders do seem a little narrower than most OTR jackets I have tried. I typically wear a 40L, and most of my jackets have a 18.5" shoulder measurement. For these, I will have to size up to a 44L to get the shoulder fit right, but luckily the 31.5" length should be perfect for me now.

I am a pretty muscular 38 with fairly large shoulders and I think the shoulders fit pretty perfectly.

I wear an XS in the shirts but they're snug in the shoulders, so I ordered a size up for my sportcoat (36). It arrives today, so I'll let you know how it worked out.

I received my fairisle shirt last week, and it is bad ass! I'm gonna wear this thing way too much this winter!

Damn, 3 to 6 weeks for special lengths? Then add about a week for it to get to me plus another week to get it to my tailor for tweaking ( have to go on weekends) plus 7 to 10 days for the work to be done. Could stretch out to about
8 weeks or more before I would have it. A little too far into the season for a fall type coat for me. ****.

Yeah, the construction process can take awhile. Cutting it take a long time if it's only a couple orders because they might have to cut each piece by hand. That takes a lot of time and elbow grease. If it is at least a dozen then they can use a large hand held auto cutting machine.

I'm not sure of the process Epaulet uses to make their items but I think it's pretty lucky they made the long and short patterns. I probably wouldn't invest the money for the extra patterns for only a couple dozen orders on a seasonal coat. These guys work hard.

How casual would you guys say that moleskin trousers can be worn? I already have a pair of navy (summer-weight) poplin trousers and navy wool trousers from Epaulet, and am considering picking up the moleskins. The wool trousers definitely a feel a little more "dressy" to me.
I've been wearing the navy poplin trousers around during the summer and fall very casually; my go-to outfit usually consists of a ToJ bomber, a t-shirt/sweater, and my navy poplin trousers. It's getting cold, though, so I'm looking for some darker colored pants to replace my poplins.
Any thoughts?

Bumping this for some feedback. :)
