and here's a pic today of some Alden snuff suede chukkas with 10oz French Blues. I didn't get the shoes from Epaulet because I needed an odd size, but they do sell the same style and I can say that they are awesome...a perfect lightweight summer boot.

I had been debating which special order trousers I was going to buy for the past 5 days, secretly hoping more would sell out so my decision would be easier. That didn't happen so I just bought 4 pairs - blue herringbone linen, wheat linen, olive windowpane tweed, and grey herringbone windowpane. I feel like I covered all my light/heavy bases in a nice assortment of colors smile.gif

Haha, I knew I'm not the only one.

Mike, surely having an awesome time!

Olive Windowpane Tweed: another one of the best cloths that we've ever run. Despite the appearance, it's not crazy thick, so this is a great material for a SoCal winter. Easy color to match with a range of navy's and brown's
Teal Flannel: around the same weight, also good for a mild winter. Awesome color that's really unique. Not as versatile as Olive Windowpane, but a lot of our customers really enjoy wearing bold-colored flannels in off-kilter tones.
Grey H-Bone Windopane: This is really thick. Not quite as much as Harris Tweed, but not far off. You'll need an actual cold day to wear them. But when that cold day comes, look the hell out! These are going to be dope. And the mostly grey coloring makes them very easy to match.

thanks. decided to grab the olive windowpane to add to my wheat linen. i'm still wanting/needing versatile and more conservative pieces. That it's not too thick put me over the top.

mallorca sounds awesome. spain is high on my list for my next vacation.

I've been saying that for 5 years now...I've finally come to accept that despite what GroupThink dictates, I don't very much like "conservative".

As for Mallorca, based on the FB pics, it may have to be a vacation spot from my month long excursion I'm planning to Naples in the next few years. Simply GORGEOUS. And Carmina is there...

Don't know NYR, it is part of the Aragonese oppressor's empire. Can you go there?

I myself just put in an order for a few pairs of the special order Walts.

Wore the mint Rivet Chinos and windowpane linen Walts over the weekend. No photos from this round. Apologies. Will put them on again and snap some. They both performed admirably in heat of Charleston, SC. Which is pretty much exactly the same heat as everyone else across the U.S. is experiencing these days.

yah, but you got the tats to back it up. being 6'5" with red hair i often feel loud enough as it is. i'm still finding my way sartorially. I don't quite have a real personal sense of style, but i'm sure i'll get there.

Nice man, how did you like Charleston? It's definitely been hot as hell here. I don't even want to walk outside to walk my dog because I start sweating and he starts panting instantly.

I just double checked the special order page again and it looks like more fabrics are gone, including the 2 linen fabrics I just bought earlier today. Glad I didn't hesitate any longer before picking them up! I really like the fact that these will come with unfinished hems too - now I'll finally get to put some cuffs on these bad boys. I never had enough material left to let out on the pairs that came with finished 34" inseams.

Family came over to Napoli with them...so I'm cool with the Spaniards. smile.gif. Besides, the Bourbons gave us the most of any of the foreign occupants.

Had a great time. Didn't mind the heat since the program was pool/boating/eat. Stayed remarkably cool the whole time. Epaulet linen helped, as did the mint chambray and red/white/blue madras shirts. Really should have taken some photos...shog[1].gif
