As with all the suit separates that we do, they're made to be broken apart if you want to. They'll look great with anything from jeans to chinos to flannel trousers and beyond! We snapped a quick and dirty fit pic (please forgive the face, it's hotter than hell in NYC) paired with the medium grey super 120's wool Walt.

Says the Georgia boy...shame. I got an outdoor roller hockey game tonight, with one sub (eheemmm)...ugh, and spent all day at the beach so I'm sure I'll be vomiting by the second period.

Can't believe I misssed the charc windowpane....damn.

Mike,

Do you have physical swatches of these fabrics in your Manhattan or Brooklyn store by chance?

Just placed order for much more than I had wanted to spend, but the results will be well worth it. I'm convinced that you can't get a better trouser for this price. Thanks Epaulet!!

Will you let us know if our order didn't make the cut (literally) and fabric is gone so that we may make a second choice or do you think it'll be a one shot deal?

best bet would be to measure your current chinos from banana and compare to the epaulet measurements. you can get a cloth tape for a couple bucks at a drug store, and it will be an invaluable resource.

^ yeah, that works assuming i measure from the right starting/end points, and to do it right i'd need to have a pair of each pants handy, which i don't.  thanks anyway.

what?

the Epaulet measurements are on the website so all you have to do is measure your pants and compare. at the absolute worst, you may be off by half an inch or so if you're not measuring in the exact same place. if you're not seeking a skin-tight fit, then this should be negligible.

as for how true to size the Epaulet pants are, again, the measurements for each will tell you that, such as I know the size 28 Walt has a 29" waist as that's what I order.

also, the Epaulet pants, whether the dress pants or the chinos, are set up to be easily alterable so if you're slightly off, you can get it fixed easily.

finally, there is a generous return policy so you could always buy three sizes and return two if you had to.

take the plunge, you will not regret it. Epaulet is light years ahead of BR.

Ha, I think guys in this thread can find a way to rationalize any kind of purchase.

Kopped three pairs of the special orders. Had to restrain myself since there were at least two more that I wanted. Well played Epaulet team!

My guess is that madras will be pretty lightweight, so not sure if you'll be able to show it off in the winter.

In L.A., "cold" is about 50 degrees. I usually don't even wear sweaters until after Halloween. With that said, I plan on wearing my Madras pants until then easily.
