Had to get the brown houndstooth and the Cramerton cloth. Still, I keep looking at the others. May have to add to my order

I broke down and got both of these as well. Still deciding on the navy lambswool...

To the people who have experience with Gitman Vintage shirts, how do you think of the shirt back pleat? I have quite a few of them but every time I tuck my shirt in, the back pleat always comes out. How do you deal with it?

Same here. That is the other pair I was really thinking about getting.
Okay, typing the above is as far as I made it before stopping and revisiting the Epaulet site. Got the navy lambswool trousers, the purple/windowpane cream shirt and a pair of cufflinks. That's it. I am so done. I swear I'm not buying anything else from Mike & Adele until they get something else in that I want :D (which will be any day now I am sure). :D

I need to just get off this site for a little while before I empty my entire bank account. Can't buy any more trousers, I'm saving up for some Alden Cordovan Wingtip boots, either in Ravello or Cigar, whatever I can get in a 12C. I think either of those will look great with the brown houndstooth pants.

Wow, all these new trousers are killer! Unfortunately I don't have much extra cash at the moment and can only afford one more pair this season. Those cargo walt's look perfect, now to decide if I want them in flannel or if I should wait for the them in tweed...

I have wingtip boots in #8 and Ravello but not Cigar. Ravello is hands down my favorite out of those two

Got my Desmond jacket (and matching Rudy trousers) back from the tailor today, all I had to do was shorten the sleeves a bit on the jacket and I'm happy with the result. I'm a bit curious though about the lapels, as the way it came "out of the box" seemed like a 3 roll 2, but I don't think this is the way it was intended to be.

I feel as though you mentioned getting a restock of the brown belts, but I can't seem to find the post. Is that right?

Either way, would a 33" waist be too small for a size 36 belt? The page says 34 would be best but, since there's a 36 in stock still, I'm wondering how big a difference that 1" would make?

Thanks!

PS For anyone on the fence I got a pair of the blue marl flannel last year and can vouch for their fantasticness. Hard to imagine a better fall pant.

I'm exactly a 33" and have the Western Print Belt in 34". It fits PERFECTLY. The middle hole is the one I use, and it sits comfortably. I'd see if the restock will come, otherwise you could get the 36 and take it to a good shoemaker to have it shortened.

^ I wear a 33 Rudy, which is actually a 34" waist, and the 34 belt fits great with some wool trousers, but if I'm wearing jeans or something thicker, it still fits but I have to use the last hole for it to be comfortable. I think if they made a 35 that would probably work better for me. The 36 would be too long, but like NYR said, you could easily have it shortened. Maybe I should have gotten a 36 and had it shortened an inch...

Mike - Love the new pants, they all look killer, especially the navy lambswool. Awesome color with the interwoven thread colors. This one looks similar to the realease you had last year or at least close to it.

You've outdone yourself on this one. Of course the pic of you and your daughter(?) puts this one over the top.

Agreed. Nice pics, kg.

That's my main gripe about Gitman is the box pleat in the back since it adds to the hunch back effect regardless of whether it's tucked or untucked. You can have the back darted to make it slimmer and more contoured to your back, but you will still get a bit of a poof effect with the box pleat, especially with heavier cloth like the oxfords. I hate box pleats on shirts in general, but what can you do when the rest of the shirt is killer?
