Well, BigRed for me, these are some of the best fitting shirts I own. I find that I pretty much wear them casually and it's the little things such as fabric, fit, service and quality. For example, while I own a few JCrew button down shirts I don't much care for the way the collar rolls up on the edges; makes the shirt look sloppy. While in grad school I always wore these shirts for class and partying....oh how I wish I had some shirts from Epaulet then. With Mike's product, I don't have that collar problem. While I could go on I won't. Just pick up a shirt and let the product and service speak for themselves. It'll be the best $130.00 you'll spend and I bet you'll be back for more.

I'm interested in picking up a Tanner 'Skinny Leather Belt Black + Nickel', however I'm not sure what size to get. I typically wear 28 in jeans, however I don't want to get a size 28 and find it's not long enough for for my liking. Is it possible to provide measurements for how long the size 28 and 30 tanner belts are. thanks!

I am a 32 waist pretty comfy. I ordered a size 34 and was on the last notch. If I lost weight, which I generally do during the summer, I would have no room to go. I would go true to size and you should be fine both ways. Great belts! Sorry I can't provide the measurements on your sizes. You can probably mail Epaulet or Tanner Goods.

Hey guys!

Sorry to be MIA for a few days, I took a little Easter holiday and just got back. First off, there's two announcements:

1. The Epaulet & Styleforum Collab shirts (Double-face & Club Collar Oxfords) will be here by the end of the week. Thanks for all your preorders and your patience!

2. We also received two excellent short-sleeve shirts - the red plaid tartan seersucker from last Summer and a new Blackwatch seersucker. We'll have them online in a day or two. They'll both be $110. Now, onto the questions:

Will do. We plan to get a huge trouser delivery next Tuesday, so they'll be a lot to pick from.

I like the navy/tartan, and I could have sworn I saw a picture of a black, white, and grape gingham shirt that you posted a month or two ago.

I also noticed that there are some things in the store that you don't have online like sport coats and sunglasses. Will you be adding these, or are the batches too small to justify the hassle?

As some other guys said, I think that you'd be a Medium or a Large. What size do you typically wear in a jacket? Our Medium is roughly a 38 and Large roughly a 40.

Sorry, no. We ordered KZO backpacks last year, but the delivery came in late and under-shipped. We only got one unit of the ones I ordered, and it's currently my very stylish Crossfit gym bag.

Chances are good that Blackbird will have them though - you can probably e-mail them to do a reservation. You can also PM Joel Koernschild directly (look in the KZO threads) to find who's going to be a stockist. Masterpiece makes some of the best bags on Earth.

I am genuinely dreading the day the SF collab shirts become available, because I don't see how I'm going to keep myself from buying 2. Or 3. Or 4....

Thank you! Enjoy that Gitman shirt - the pattern is one of my favorites.

Do you ship internationally?

New products look awesome, will definitely come check out the store in person at some point.

Yup, we absolutely ship Internationally to most destinations. And we are planning a Crepe PTB restock, but it will most likely be Jan-Feb 2011.

The 30 should be good for you. Most customers order 2" above their usual trouser size. The total length of the leather on that is 38". We have a 30 in stock and ready to ship immediately. We don't typically stock 28, so if you want to go for that, then I'd suggest ordering it from Tanner's online shop directly. They're good peoples.

Alright, so here are some crappy pics of the first round with the tailor (not my usual go to guy who takes care of me when I went this time). I think they need to brought up a bit more to lessen or remove that break. What say you guys?

Can't say enough about this material though, f***ing bad ass.

Get rid of the break.

Yeah, I thought so too. I slight break is one thing, but I thought this was excessive. The younger tailor who usually measures me and takes care of my items was busy with a custom shirt order so some one of the older gents who seems to be a break man measured me up this time and I should have explained what I was expecting out of these more. I'm in and out with my regular tailor since he knows my tastes so well. Ah well.

Back they'll go.

Thanks for posting the shots Tonio! I agree, you should definitely get rid of that huge break. That's so off the mark that they should absolutely re-do the hem at no charge.

I've had a few customers e-mail me shots like this. It seems like the break tendency is a national problem. At some point, most younger guys decided that they wanted a square toe on their shoes and a heavy break on their trousers that would warm Lil' Wayne's heart. Even if you ask for a proper hem, they always err on the long side if you're under 40. You're definitely not the only guy to have this happen.

The rest of the fit is right on though! I dig them with those shoes.

Mike,

I recieved the mint shirt from Gant yesterday and the fit is great. Can't wait to pair it up with your new trousers. Thanks again for your help and service.

Thank you sir! Glad that you like it - that Mint is an awesome color.

We're just a few days away from receiving the enormous SF collab shirt delivery. Hoping to ship all preorders in the beginning of next week, and have them up for general sale a day or two after that.

In the meantime, I've got two new short sleeve shirts. Which is perfect timing, as it's basically the middle of Summer here in NYC. If you ever come out to the store, there's a 50% chance that I'm wearing the red tartan shirt. We ran a batch off last Summer, and it's the shirt that gets the most rotation in my wardrobe. The fabric is really soft and breathable. You'll love it!

Red Tartan is available in S-XL. Blackwatch is available in XS-XXL.

Red Tartan Seersucker Short Sleeve: $110

Blackwatch Tartan Seersucker Short Sleeve: $110

Mike,

Wow that blackwatch is awesome.

I have not ordered a Epaulet shirt yet but this one will change that - what would you recommend on sizing - I'm 6'2" 205, normally wear 46 in jackets. I have a Gitman Bros short sleeve button down in XL and it is actually a little big, and several Ben Sherman button downs in XL that are pretty spot on.

I think I may need an XXL based on the measurements, particularly because of the chest.

Thanks,

Jason

Very cool, glad that you like it! I'm thinking XXL as well. It's roughly equivalent to a Gitman XL (well, depending on the Gitman fabric), but will have less space in the torso, so it will be more fitted in the body. The XL shirts that you have in Ben Sherman are their more relaxed cut, right? I know that they have a really slim fit model called the "mod" or so.
