when I went to Costa Rica, I wore them about half of the week (whenever we weren't on the beach) and didn't have the trees along with me. I noticed a difference. they definitely will retain their shape better if you use trees.

Sure, I know you have them, you're on photos on google when one types in "thorogood x epaulet". That's why I sent you a PM about a month ago, asking for help with sizing. You could have answered it though... probably wouldn't take much effort and would be of some use to me.

Boots fit well, so no hard feelings, but I'd feel better if you took different approach to newbies.

In your opinion would those I linked above be of any use? Remember Ranger, I'm on a tight budget :-).

They're not ideal, but i certainly think they'll get the job done to an extent. Wooden ones will absorb moisture a bit better, but those seem like they will help keep the shape. When i was a kid, I used to keep my football boots stuffed with newspaper, maybe something like that wouldn't be so bad, inside those, for moisture absorption.

Maybe try Warsaw or Krakow at some of the higher end places that may sell better ones, for not much more (whats the zloty going for nowadays anyway?). I have a friend in Krakow, I can message him and see if he knows anywhere you can get better ones that are affordable.

Epaulet shipment arrived today. As is often the case, the goods exceed expectations.

I'm not sure if the photo makes this clear, but the emerald twill is a better colour than it might seem from the website. Get it.

Oh my, złoty has recently been going down, mostly because of turmoil in Greece; nobody knows whether they're leaving eurozone or not. At the moment you have to pay 3.5 złoty for one $, whereas a year ago it was circa 2.80. So back then my financial capabilities were generally better. But I made my purchase at Epaulet when exchange rate from our currency to dollar was somewhat more favourable.

Thanks for advice, I'll look for shoe trees of decent quality. No need to ask for friend's help, I think I'll manage on my own. It's probable though I'll end up getting the simplest trees :-).

Shoe trees are a must for me. Jos A Bank occasionally runs 3 for 1 sale and I stock up.

Olive Service Pants today...the one that started it all for me.

I tried green pants with brown Chukkas and surprisingly I liked the combo.

Seriously??? Nobody is obligated to respond to PMs. You need to get over yourself.

I don't remember myself saying anyone was obligated to do it, I know I would write back and majority of guys would. But then again, you aren't obligated to agree.

I'm sure SVB has good intentions. From time to time, I would get people asking me questions about things like my ToJ jackets and ask for my weight and height. The first several times...I didn't mind helping. But after several times, it gets tiring and repetitive. This is the same principle behind noobs making a new thread asking a question and get called special flowers.

Perhaps you're right.

Would you care to elaborate what "get called special flowers" means?

irony overload

Nice casual look. Green and brown definitely look good here.

Probably best to ask that in a new thread.
