Sanded canvas and the wine is a RED zinfandel.

I know, they make red now?

I'm happy as hell that Epaulet is killing it these days, but it seems that many dudes on here are experiencing the same frustration that I am: Seems that if you're not ready at the switch the minute stuff drops, you're SOL.

There have been more than a few pieces over the past few months that I've been shut out of due to this phenonenom.

Good for my wallet I suppose, but bad for my Epaulet envy-factor when reading this thread.

Mike, as business expands is it possible to increase stock on new arrivals?

Looks good FC, and welcome to the wonderful world of Zin. I love me a good Cali Zin, and for a less expensive but equally tasty wine, try a Primitivo from Puglia or Basilicata. Its the same grape as the Zin, but at half the price.

Well for one thing, I think one of the great things about Epaulet stuff is that a lot of it is made only in small quantities.

There also seems to be a hit-or-miss factor to a lot of items though. On the one hand, the french blue and caramel chinos sold out lightning quick -- faster than anyone was expecting. On the other hand, the grey fair isle shirt was lauded by everyone and even picked up by a few blogs, but it didn't seem to sell very quickly and ultimately ended up on sale (and is still available in some sizes). Thus, expanding stock on new arrivals may be too risky a prospect at this stage in Epaulet's business.

To me, it seems the real solution, for now at least, would be utilizing the pre-order function more.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm certainly a fan of the wines of southern Italy. Primitivo and Zinfandel are supposed to be related, yes? Love a Salice Salentino or Aglianico as well. Even found a Calif. Aglianico that I plan to taste test against an Italian version. That's a good excuse to open two bottles at once, right?

Yup. I just finished a bottle of Aglianico produced about 15 minutes from my family's home town. Delic. PM me the info on the Cali one, I'd be curious. If you like that you'd also like Lachryma Christi, a little less earthy...but back to clothes, I think I'll scoop the blue ocbd...

Great look man! That is literally exactly what I was going to do with my speckled chambray had I nabbed one, I almost tear up every time I see one of those fucking shirts.

Back from vacation. Patch madras shorts on the beach, with the little guy in arms watching the waves.

Pants got a lot of compliments today at work.

Going to try out its counterpart, the orange linen tomorrow. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Haha, I didn't have time to get into my groove.

It's always one quick picture before I'm out the door and time to go to work.

I'll probably get a new point n' shoot camera later too.

I have a Speckle Cream Chambray in Small that I'm going to be returning (too big). If anyone in the GTA is interested in purchasing it before I send it back (save some shipping costs) let me know.
