Agree with R. Nice shirt and a pretty lady. Mix with day drinking and stogies = Awesome Day!

Thanks for the feedback in regards to my in between sizing, fellas.

I know there will be stitch marks when letting out the waist on cotton, I already saw this on my duck canvas. It's a minute detail for me.

I hope my tailor can alter the tweed trousers without an issue! Can't wait to feel the hand in person.

That is correct. Mike told me the same thing.

This is probably the only chinos I'll pass. Not much of a black color loving guy. (Cue jokes).

So I just received my Caine Hopsack jacket and wow - I love it. So much so that I am half considering special ordering the matching pants.

New York Ranger - I saw you made a thread a while back considering a full hopsack suit - did you ever follow thru with that? And if so, what were the results?

Does anyone have any other advice as to whether a full Hopsack suit is a good idea? I've read mixed things.

Thanks

I have one, LOVE IT. True MCers will say its not a suiting fabric, fuck em. If you like it, go for it. It's a nice open weave and if the material is light enough its a great warmer weather suiting material, plus its interesting.

What did you decide on the in-between sizing?

I'm having a similar issue with the Rudy's. I can wear both a 32 and a 30, and I can't make up my mind!

The 32 fits me great when I first get them, but the seat looks baggy and needs to be taken in after I stretch them a bit.I like the extra room in the thigh, but it's pretty negligible between the two sizes.

The 30's fit me like a glove to start with, and I'm sure they'll be perfect once I let the waist out an inch and they stretch. My only worry is that the snugness in the seat might tear the lighter, wool fabrics while I'm stretching them out (the cotton fabrics are thick enough that I don't feel this is an issue).

What do you guys think? Stick with a 32 and take the seat/waist in, or get 30's and let the waist out an inch?

Your trousers stretch out that much? If so, I would get the 30. I went with a 32. I already have 3 at the tailor and 1 more expecting to be delivered today. I proposed the question because I wanted to know if there were others in between sizes like me.

I wear my pants pretty slim/fitted and have yet to have issues with my finer wool and wool/cashmere blend pants. You just gotta be careful in them.

In my experience with numerous Walts of all different types and weights of fabrics, Epaulet's trousers don't stretch.

Either they stretched or I lost some weight from my rear end (which is a possibility with race season coming up). Matt told me in an email that the wool trousers tend to stretch a bit so I assumed that was the cause. From what you guys are saying, it might be a bit of both.

I would love to see these guys expand that jacket into different colours and fabrics. Having said that, the next spending cash is definitely going towards the hopsack.
