We're going to run some additional fabrics like that in the Fall. That's probably as dressy as it will get, as I'm going to stick with cotton, machine-washable fabrics for the chinos.

This slipped by so I am calling it out. Those charcoal cotton herringbone rivets were a slam dunk, and are easily my favorite non-denim pant ever. They made up versatile as hell while still being interesting, with a fantastic hand to boot. I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat in the new rivet style.

RE: The Marcello jacket. What colors will be available, Mike?

Man, I hope I can wear my pants soon. They're all still at the tailor's and dry cleaner's at the moment. frown.gif

I haven't had the chance to wear mine either! Been way too hot here recently, hasn't it? Today cooled down a bit but by the time I stepped out the door and realized how cool it was, I didn't have time to go back and change. frown.gif

Should I go ahead and order the trousers tomorrow or wait and hold them for the whole suit?

We're probably still a few weeks out on the Loro Piana jackets. We submitted those special orders when we took them, but the fabric was a bit delayed - that's why the trousers only came through on this run and not the first one. I'd say to pick up the trousers tomorrow, and then we can either ship them to you now or hold them for when the jacket arrives. You are going to love it! The photos can't express how freaking good this fabric feels.

And to everyone who special ordered the Loro Piana jacket - don't stress if you can't buy a trouser in this run. I have more cloth on hand, and anyone who bought is jacket will of course get a matching trouser with it. No worries there.

i wear an XL in epaulet shirts, but have pretty wide shoulders, the XL in the shirts fit my shoulders perfect, should i be ok in a 42?
Oh we should get a restock around the end of the month. Certain sizes sell out from time to time, but we generally get a new delivery every 10 weeks or so. If you're totally filling out an Epaulet XL, then you might need a to size up from the 42. We can easily special order you a 43 or a 44. The best guide is to measure a sportcoat that fits you well now, and we can compare it against the Caine. Drop me a PM if you want to discuss it more, and we can help you nail down the size.

Ah, I'm really glad to hear that you dig them so much! They were one of my all-time favorites. We're going to get more of that exact same cloth, and we'll look to run it in a few colors in the Fall.

We'll have three colors in the Marcello:
Navy tonal glen plaid
Blue/Grey Birdseye
Navy/Oatmeal Farmer's check

Man, I can't wait for this!

Well, we've got those cotton Walt trousers coming ($150 each, six colors), and I'll have a few more tricks up my sleeve above and beyond that. And we'll restock shorts again very soon.

Are any of those Marcello jackets in a summer weight?

Just got the email, new Walts look awesome!

But I've got a non-selfish question here - in the white Perfecto picture it looks like Adele has some racing greens. Was that a one off, or are you guys working on getting a women's pants line up and running?

If I can get my wife hooked on Epaulet, that could only lead to justifying more purchases for me... I guess this is a selfish question after all.

Mike, please tell me you guys have seen the UK show "Ashes to Ashes"

saw the women's perfecto jacket this morning and this was the only thing I could think of. the show is full of tons of awesome and not-so-awesome early 1980s style. the white leather jacket definitely falls into the former category. nod[1].gif

Hello Mike,

are the Loro Piana navy windowpane walts in that tropical wool fabric you mentioned a few weeks ago ?

I didn't see a response to my earlier question. Will the navy canvas rivet chinos shrink in the wash?

Cold wash, hang dry. Nothing shrinks.

Mike, I may be ready to special order the hopsack trousers. Refresh my memory: I can order those in a 31, correct? Also, what's on tap from the Gitman Ashland collection?

On a side note, very curious about these Marcello jackets.nod[1].gif

I have 3 pairs of Rivet Chinos, but am ordering a couple more pair as time/money permits. Kinda happy (well, my wallet is) I'm too big for the shirts/tops. biggrin.gif

Mike-
Trying to decide between the Loro Piana Navy Windowpane & the Super 120s Navy Wool.

What is the weight difference between the two. In the description for the Super 120s it says it is a 3 season trouser. What about the Loro Piana?

Also are both pants a true navy or more of a midnight?

Thx!
