Cool old bands most people haven't heard of - Page 4

Oh god, I almost forgot the king of unheard of bands: The Embarassment. They were four nerds from Wichita who made monumentally great melodic punk/art rock circa early 80's. Almost completely unknown, and their following barely classifies as cult nowadays. They reunited for a couple of shows in '06. Amazing group.

Pretty sure this is a Sonny Bono number. I've heard the Skeletons do this a couple of times. Great vid w. Gram P. in silk scarf & blazer!

I'm going to once again recommend the Hound's blog: http://thehoundblog.blogspot.com/

Jim has forgotten more about great old rock'nroll, R&B, blues, etc. than most of us will ever know. An amazing resource!

I've seen "Older Guys" listed as a collaboration between Chris Hillman, Bernie Leadon, and Gram Parsons, but it actually does sound like something Sonny Bono could have come up with.

Glad that you enjoyed the video. It's the only FBB promo video that I've ever seen.

I would've thought you were going to say Uncle Tupelo.

Love Big Star as well. The Feelies are another great band that most people haven't heard.
