The Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles

I just recently visited The Standard. It's where they filmed a scene from Entourage, Ocean's 12, and countless commercials.

Been to the bar on the roof many times. Hear the rooms are nice.

I've stayed at both in LA. Eh. I prefer other hotels, but the people watching is good, and some of the design in the public areas is as well.

I've been a few times, its ok...but kind of a mix of hollywood and downtown after-work crowd and pasadena...not really my scene. heard sunday afternoons in summer are good at the pool though...but again, its too far.

I've stayed there a couple of years ago...it's pretty eh. The location sucks, the bar was ok. FWIW I had a "Wow!" suite and it all seemed very cheap. The giant foot was fun when drunk at about 3am though.

We had a fair share of BBW's show up on the night that we went. The rooms look like it would be nice.

What I hate most about these kind of bars is that it's a mix of Hollywood and ppl trying to be Hollywood, which equals some of the greatest style offenders.

Stayed there a few years ago; We had reserved 4 nights but left after the first night upon discovering a major ant infestation in the bathroom.

Yuck.
