The Jean Shop based in NYC has two stores there. They also sell to retailers around the world. This model is their Rocker. Trim but not skinny. It comes in a lighter weight and this heavier weight which is 15OZ if I recall correctly. Not super heavy but a good weight. Everything is available raw but they will also provide any distressing, overdye, that you want. The owner helped to start the RRL jean program. He then went to the Gap to do their 1969 program and then started The Jean Shop in the Meatpacking District as that area began to take off.
They also have a fuller cut version that I would say is similar to a 1955 Levis and then they have a skinny version. Most come in both button fly and zipper but I heard they are phasing out the zip.
When you buy these they say to size down a lot because they will stretch about an inch in the waist. Washing will only shrink them a bit in length. They don't say sanforized but maybe they are??? I am a true 34.5" waist and I bought a size 31 long. I may soak them and wear them until they are dry. Not sure I want to wear them hard or not. I will try the hard for a few more wearings before I decide.
