Wow, has PDC changed their rear pocket stitching?  The J-stitch thingee seems to be a lot more obvious (cuts farther into the middle of the pocket).
No, the J-stitch looks pretty much the same. It's great that PDC still makes the GTO 1-year. Most stores now seem to stock only the newer washes.

It's old stock. As far as I know, the cut/wash has been discontinued.

Didn't realize that... I guess I should probably pick up a pair here soon before they are all gone.

Yeah, it's a shame. But I'm moving onto other brands, and I've still got my two GTO 1-years.

Weird, the J-stitching on all my older PDC's don't look as "pronounced" (the stitching stays closer to the outside of the pocket).

Sway I see what you're talking about... Are you guys sure? Maybe I'm just used to the LTD pocket shape. M@t, those jeans look like they are worn down to their last thread

I think that the placement of the J-stitch may have to do with the size as well. Remember that Kent is a size 30. If you are a size 36, 34, hell, even a 32, the pockets will be (slightly) bigger and the stitch will seem closer to the edge. Also: Paper Denim, never known for production consistency.

Dear La guy, I purchased a pair of paper denims and I am very happy with them, as they look authentic and natural... Do you know any other denims that would compare to paper denim clothes company?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

What cut and wash did you get? Also, what size? Is it the cut or the wash that you like most, or the softness of the denim? What is your price range? There are literally dozens of new companies springing up, and a little more elaboration on your part would allow us (and there are many denim people here) to make better suggestions.

What an odd coincidence, I just banned someone who must live right near you, and his name was "arrogant". Your evil twin brother perhaps?

I thought the same thing.  The use of and adjective as a name seems like a strange coincidence too, as does the similar sentence and paragraph structures. And the tone of the post is a little wierd. But hey, I'll take it at face value.  For now.

Better quality in the selvage or "rigid" washes, definitely. I've heard that their "washed" denim is subpar though. No personal experience. Brian? Personally, I recommmend Corpus these days. Distinctive, still relatively unknow, and cool as hell cuts. Brian likes 5EP.

Yea well like I said to you I'm really warming up to Corpus. Going up to LA next friday and I may cop a pair. Still haven't decided over Blue Bloods though, it'll be nice to actually try on a couple pairs and make a decision. As for Nudie quality over PD&C, they are probably on par or worse, as far as the washed jeans go. The stitching is pretty flimsy at best, and the hardware pops off after 6 months to a year of wear. Of course, I still think they look really cool, so it might be worth it. Also, different washes are sort of hit and miss, even within their own model, since different washes of the same model are outsourced to different factories. For example, the Regular Ralf dry Selvage, Authentique Deluxe and Veggie Indigo are all made from the same denim which is considerably higher quality than, say, the Dry non-selvage or the Flare Glenn dry denim. As for Seven, have you seen the new men's A pockets with the "I'm a yuppie English punk" studs all over them? Grooooossss...
