I would but they are falling apart as it is... They don't look as dirty in real life, might be the flash giving them a shine.

Speaking of 517s, here are my made in USA 517s in 28x30. One heavy downpour/rain soak, one hot soak a few days after that , no wash. Thoughts?

John, those 517's fit great, we just need to find out what's up with those back pockets being so far apart. Anyone know if there was a womens version that maybe had the pockets further apart maybe? Also like the official Levi's fitting room photo shoot location.

Its been 2 month since I bought these. How am I doing so far? Are they still supposed to be this dark after this long? The only fades I can see are near my crotch.. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3062/...50cb5d.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3160/...6e965e.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/...db0753.jpg?v=0 Sorry for the crappy pics

Today is the approximate 6 month anniversary of when I started wearing in my APCs so this morning I gave them a hot soak. I'm going to do it again at 9 months probably and at a year they'll get a wash and be retired from everyday use.

pics?

Yeah they are coming. I gotta resize them and all that jazz. Nothing too drastic though.

Edit: Pics!

APC NS size 30 (should have sized down more) @ 6 months with one hot soak.

Looks good, xchen. My NS are at about 3.5 months and I'm pretty much following the same method as you. Thanks for giving me some idea of what I can look forward to.

I suppose it is just a matter of anatomy, but it seems like the honeycombing on NS's varies greatly from one person to the next.

They look really good xchen

Honeycombing is highly dependent on the fit of the jeans. Mine are a regular fit, so the combs are bigger. If I was wearing Thin Finns they'd be flat and very linear. The same goes for if someone wears NS sized down 4 vs 2 vs true to size.

They are falling apart because of accumulated dirt and grease, which weakens the fabric. Washing can actually extend the life of denim. A hot soak hand wash is also quite gentle.

You're right. At least it's been a learning experience. I definitely have the mentality of "they're just jeans" though so I don't feel like soaking them was a big mistake or anything.

Here's my sons first pair of LVC 646's... It's a size 1.5T for babies, prototype.

Rome wasn't built in a day.
