Here are pictures of my Nudie Regular Ralf Dry Selvage jeans. They are about 4 months old, and have been washed 2-3 times. I dont really remember. Anyway, they are looking really good, IMO:

My cat, Oscar de la Gato, is a denim freak. He likes my GTOs but thinks Nudies smell better. Uh oh, let's not turn this into a cat nerd thread. Consider this another shot of my PDC GTOs. Notice how the leg opening gracefully flares into a boot cut.

I really think GTO's are significantly better than the ES Hutch.
if only just because of the lowered back pockets

My second pick was going to be the ES Hutch, but I liked the GTO wash better, more rich blue and less dull gray.

What's up with the rivet at the bottom of the fly on the GTOs? It's rather unusual and one of the first things I noticed when I started wearing them. A girl commented on it last night as well, as its position is a little eye-catching. Does the extra rivet actually reinforce the fly or is it more of a design signature?

the ES Hutch have it as well.

It is a design feature.. Old levis jeans used to have it.

Wasn't the story that Levi's removed that rivet because it tended to become uncomfortably hot in that area when standing next to a campfire?

I think they removed it because they had to conserve materials during WW2 era... but your story is more fun

the version i heard is that Haas - the then-owner of levi's - burned himself standing too close to the campfire, so had that rivet removed from production.

Is this our version of the "old wive's tale", the "old SFers tale"?

...I wear my jeans really really rough. I didn't use sandpaper or pumice at all on these jeans, it's just from biking, running, dancing, drinking, racquetball, etc.
I'll admit to being somewhat unhip, nowadays (yes, it will happen to you too). But are you saying that you even play RACQUETBALL in your jeans?

Latest pair of new jeans, these are Levis Red Loop Drainpipe, raw jeans. I am very happy with these and wearing them in as we speak. As the cut suggests they are a skinnier leg, I sized down and very happy with the fit. These were $AUD240, which is the slightly more than the price as a pair of Nudie Thin Finn down here. I decided on the levis.

Ha, that's funny, I just saw an old pair of orange tabs with very similar back pocket designs at a thrift store, without the bartack in the middle though.
