Try using some soup cans.
do the curls very slowly to build strength.
If that fails,
switch to Eye-Brow Lifts.

It will do nothing for biceps, but comes in handy for conversations.

Yeah because only one joint is involved in the motion - elbow. Chin ups are a far better exercise and are a compound (multi-joint) movement. Other isolation examples - leg curls, leg extensions, any bicep curl, tricep extensions etc... Compound examples - pull ups, dips, squats, deads, presses etc...

Yes. And it's considered the mother of all isolation exercises by powerlifters and strongmen who look upon aesthetics-centered bodybuilding with disdain.

Although you can argue that some of the guys who pack on the pounds on the curl bar may be doing some strange supine-grip reverse hang clean when they do those wild swinging curls. Ironically, these might be a more worthwhile exercise than the 'strict' isolation version.
