Why doesn't he just have some more mainstream lines and reserve the wacky stuff for people that will buy it. The problem now is that even if he does this he is known for his short, tight, ultra modern clothing and it will be hard to win back people to his brand who would otherwise just pass it over. He's trying to reach a small enough market with his costs alone but then he is dividing that market again by offering clothes that only appeal to a small minority.
