Thom Brown has $$$ trouble. - Page 6

Why doesn't he just have some more mainstream lines and reserve the wacky stuff for people that will buy it. The problem now is that even if he does this he is known for his short, tight, ultra modern clothing and it will be hard to win back people to his brand who would otherwise just pass it over. He's trying to reach a small enough market with his costs alone but then he is dividing that market again by offering clothes that only appeal to a small minority.

The Post says Browne's annual revenue is $5M.

The annual revenue of the Post's parent company News Corporation is considerably larger.

The Post plays an important role in Murdoch's N American media strategy, along with the WSJ and Fox.

Plus I think he gets a kick out of owning it.

I guess people realised that $5000 jokes were a bit excessive.

Yeah, except for the BB OCBD was around LONG before Thom Brown was. MF isn't wearing a TB/BF shirt at all.

Your point has no point to it.

That means BB believes in the talent of TB and someone who buys stuff from BB believes in the designers and producers they work with.

fad...oh, it's a fad... fad... fad... faddy... fad... fad-o-fad-fad... fa-fa-fa-fad

So, just out of curiosity, how many years does this "it's a fad" thing go on for before it stops being called "just a fad".

Wearing a TB shirt, trousers and cardigan right now, actually. Pair of pugs settled on my lap, watching Lost. They're snoring something fierce. It's quite the performance.

His concept clothing line was ridiculous from the beginning. Was my remark too harsh? Ha.

I can't believe it took an global recession to make people realize this one-trick pony needs to be put out to pasture.
