Doesn't falling for a good friend suck? Especially when you already know its LJBF status and no random hookup is satisfying enough to rescind the hopelessness you feel until the next month when you realize how stupid you are.

Easily done in a week/month if you think with your head, but the feeling itself is pretty miserable.

I've never been in this position, but I assume it's just like a break up. You just need to find someone else, get your rocks off, etc...

I hate to sound preachy, but just because another person has a different set of beliefs to you does not make them lesser. While I don't agree with the PUA community's goals and ideals, it's no reason to mock them.



As for the OP, if you put your mind to it you'll realise that just friends is not just friends if you don't want it to be.

I'm not a PUA (I have SOME game) or in the community in any way, nor would I pay for it. However, there is truth to evolutionary psychology... damn denying creationists. Darwin won, get over it. I don't see any problem with those guys doing what they do.

Do you know for sure you are just in "friend" territory - have you checked? I quite seriously advocate both getting drunk and then try to sleep with her, if it fails or you regret it the next morning just blame it on the booze, be awkward for a bit but not fatal if you handle it right. That said there is some risk to the friendship, I suppose it depends how easy they are about the whole sex thing. And yes, from experience, it really sucks.
