No idea on width. I would guess pretty traditional.

I kind of balked at the shipping cost too. I still bought one.

Solid color, but intricate texture. Looks like a plain tie from far away, but once you get close, you see that's there a lot going on. I think that subtlety is pretty sweet.

Hansen's Clothing has Robert Talbott "Best of Class" "Super Grenadine" ties on sale for $60, and shipping is free. They're available in blue, silver, grey/black and gold, in both regular and long lengths.

I still haven't picked a Sam Hober yet and I plan to but $55-$60 and getting the tie in 3 days is nice.
