What a fantastic character he is.

Finishing season 3 and dang, it was so quick. Avon gave him up with out the slightest bit of hesitation. The act was quick and dirty. So antithetical to everything about the Wire.

He just couldn't grasp that people aren't always motivated by money.

String: I'm pouring one for you tonight.

Tension between Avon and Stringer were actually brewing since Season 2, which I just finished catching up on this weekend. I can't wait for season 3 to be put On Demand.

Stringer had to die. That's almost always what happens to characters that try to straddle two worlds. You stop belonging to the world you were raised in, and never really belong in your new world. Someone, from one of those worlds, is going to destroy you.

Stringer Bell is the perfect example of the empathetic, intelligent, charming villain.

Maybe not the best character from The Wire, but I would put him in the top five without question. I'm nearing the end of the series and have to say that I am very fond of Bubbles.

+1.

The only actor who wasn't always on top of his game in the series was McNulty. At times he was a little too dramatic and quite insincere.

What amazes me about the show is how perfectly everything fits in its universe. Maybe just a touch too perfectly.

How do you feel about going back to cow town, after living large in Chi-town? Same deal.

Stringer was awesome. One of my favorite characters on the show. I was so disappointed when he was killed off.

Clearly, you lack a soul. Especially if McNulty is the one and only character that stands out to you.
