What we consider bizarre foods are not necessarily bizarre in European cultures. They do eat everything. I'll follow Mauro's lead in Tongue Lengua Estofadois very good and very Spanish. I've had the best tripes in Paris and also had tripes at Dim Sum in Chinatown. I've had Argentine Blood Sausage at one of their Parillas . Probably the most bizarre would be balut, which is duck's egg that has an embryo in it. I had it in Southeast Asia.Originally Posted by Maharlika

Balut is something I could never eat. Just the thought, let alone the pictures, really gross me out. I know GoSurface has eaten it and some other guys I know have, and they say it's good..... but just no.Originally Posted by kwilkinson

Judging from your username, you are indeed of a culture with food that outsiders would consider bizarre. My favorite bar food by far is minced pig face fried with onions and peppers. Lengua is par for the course at various Filipino functions. Duck fetus is readily available on the streets of Manila. When I'm out in the provinces of the Philippines, either for family trips or other road trips, I try to get stuff like monitor lizard and various wild animal. Eating dog meat would be my taboo. I would play Russian roulette and eat fugu before I eat dog meat. I'd be careful at some grilled or bbq food stalls in Manila or the Northern Provinces, you may never know that it's canine meat you are eating.
