Looks like a pomeranian but I don't know anything about dogs.

Can't tell from the picture, but is it white/biscuit color? How big?

Not sure on the pomerianian. Looks more like an American Eskimo. I had one growing up.

white/beige, more yellow/brown-ish through the body than the picture suggests. she's definitely a small dog - she's so incredibly fluffy that it makes her look bigger than she is.

just googled american eskimo and i think that's it, thanks!

bringing her home in a week or so:

she's very sweet. we were playing with her today and noticed she had a lump on her face, brought her to a vet that happened to be at the petco, he felt around and went 'i'd bet strongly it's a shotgun pellet' frown.gif heartbreaking. she's fine and it's not a worry, but makes me sad that she caught a pellet and the hunter didn't even notice/give a shit.

Your posts in this thread have completely changed my opinion of you, she is beautiful and very fortunate to have you come into her life smile.gif

Has anyone read "What's a Dog For?" by John Homans?

It looked interesting, so I picked it up as a gift, but I might buy myself a copy.

This my parents' dog, Buddy.  He has had a rough year.  First, he was bit on the tongue by a copperhead.  Then, he got ran over by a truck.  Finally, this happened:400

Some brainless asshole shot him close range with a 12 gauge.  Poor guy was missing for half a day before he was found.  But, one day after surgery he was up and moving again.  I am beginning to think he is indestructible.  Two months after the incident, you wouldn't believe how much better it looks.  He is one badass dog.

Were charges pressed against said asshole?

We tried, but never found out who did it.  Even tried gettting local news involved, to no avail.

My advice would be to move. You can bring your parents' beastly dog to Canada.

I know it's against the rules, but we need help. Purchased a lovely Goldendoodle upon meeting one in our apartment building (my girlfriend has dog allergies) and after we got him, she can't even be in the same room. He doesn't shed. An Allergist said it's dried skin and saliva that is causing her irritation and in an bad case can lead to serious respiratory issues down the road. He perscribed meds to her, but nothing is helping.

Therefore, sadly, we're looking for a new home for him. StyleForum loves dogs, and I think it was worth posting him here. Any help is great and the price is negotiable.

Thanks. And please, don't give us shit. It's been a very hard week.

The best bet here is the breeder taking him back or introducing you to someone on their waiting list. Are they offering you a full refund?

Yeah. We're in talks to have him shipped from us to someone on their waiting list. He's such a great dog and really well mannered. They're offering a full refund, but I figured I'd post here incase I could find a suitable home faster. Money isn't really the issue, it's time. Hard for my girlfriend to spend much time in our apartment with him.

I just took him to the vet and he's got a clean bill of health and is updated on all of his shots as well as rabies.
