Bar Mitzvah gig to pay $1 million

some colleagues of mine are singing in the choir for that. Being paid $10,000, all travelling expenses paid in a top notch hotel in the area. Not a bad deal.

somebody I know was at a bar mitzva in new york recently where they got an NBA player to make a film with the boy playing one on one basketball and losing. some people ahve too much money

dunno about too much money, but seriously how pathetic is that movie idea. that is way dorkier than wearing a powder blue tux to your prom, and potentially much more permanently damaging to your reputation.

hm, heard on the radio this morning that they bought beyonce as well. maybe they could make her have some 'wardrobe malfunctions'.

If you're gonna pay a million bucks, why not get Stevie Wonder or Earth Wind & Fire? Or anyone else?

I'm sure the parents got who the kid wanted. Just be glad it wasn't Hillary Duff or Lindsay Lohan (although that's a wardrobe malfunction I'd like to see.)

I had hoped, when the time came, just to take globe jr. down to the corner bar for a shot and a beer. this raises the expectations to an insane level..

My colleague just got back from the gig. Instead of Timberlake they got Destiny's Child. Andrea Bocelli also performed. Two whole hotels were rented out, and it probably cost about $10 million US. My colleague met Simon Cowell at the gig and said that he's "not a bad guy". Definately one of the best gigs this guy has ever done.
