The official SF Cigar Pass

This is the first official SF cigar pass. For this thread we will be doing a 5 cigar pass. The cigars MUST be premium cigars. Any cigar you can get at a drug store need not apply. The cigar does not have to be a 20 or 30 dollar cigar, but it must be handmade and long filler (nothing machine made). Heres how it goes... 1. Somebody will offer up their cigars (say something like "who wants my cigars") 2. The first person to claim them gets them. Then the offerer/receiver exchange address information (pref through PM, to keep the thread clean). 3. Then the person who received the cigars MUST say "Who wants my cigars" and the cycle starts all over again. (This is usually done after you confirm that your cigars are on the way) 4. Now, if you are generous you can send more than 5 cigars, it is up to you. (You can throw in some shitty cigars if you are really looking to unload, as long as the first 5 are premium). P.S. It is possible to have more than 1 pass going at once (if two people offer up cigars, it goes in order as to who gets whos cigars) (Please use quoting, it makes everything MUCH easier. Quote the person whos cigars you want).

^i dunno, just a 4 minute way of telling the world you have a death wish. i guess it's just that most cigar lovers i know also pretend to like golf and are blowhards in general. don;t want to derail the thread by going on and on...

I think cigar culture, and the cigar community, is a lot like style/fashion, really. You've got the people who care about it, who really care about it, and are willing to spend a good part of their life, time, and money into that hobby. These people naturally feel mutual respect for each other based on the shared passion, like some of us here do. Within that same group, there are people who fight over cubans or non-cubans, or raf vs BoO. Then there are the pretentious people, the ones who will go out and buy the most expensive thing they can find, because they want to look like one of the cool people. This person might be consuming raf or padron anniversary cigars just as well as you are, but they aren't doing it for the same "ideals" and they don't share your passion, so naturally you look down on them, as a group. At the same time, they'll also be consuming true religion and shitty expensive cigars. They don't understand the culture behind it, because they don't care about it or care to be a part of it.
Anyway, not to mess up a thread about cigar passes, but i've been on a cigar forum before that was a lot like this. People with a shared passion coming together ont he internet to talk about that passion. In reality, the forum encompasses much more, and it's a lifestyle forum where a bunch of friends and a few outsider douchebags come together to bullshit about things that are a part of their lives. But a lot of the cigar guys are really great guys who smoke what they like regardless of whether it's a $20 stick or a $2 stick, and they want to share that love or that hobby. That's my favorite part of cigar culture. The guys who love it, and i mean really love it, not just love the way they look with a cigar, are always willing to pay it forward and let people try some of the good stuff, if only just to share what they love.
