Went to my first spin class this morning. Pretty fun stuff, not to mention some prime eye candy. Certainly better than churning away by myself for 45 minutes. Anyone else spin?

Nah, but my quads are quite fatigued. I can't figure out why spin is supposed to be for chicks. It can be a pretty intense workout. Actually it reminded me a lot of doing football conditioning from a group-toil standpoint.

I don't think it's for chicks, I just like taking cheap shots whenever they're available.
I've never worked out in a class really. Even when I've worked out in gyms, it's been relatively quiet. Haven't worked out in a group since my freshman year of soccer. Is it kind of weird to work out in a group of strangers?

My work colleague who is a bike racer goes to spin class and says that it has really helped his cadence and ability to push through duress.

It wasn't weird at all actually(but I'm sure if one goes often there are regulars). It's dark, and theres loud music and big fans. Plus watching hot chicks get sweaty and jiggle around during the sprints was. . . motivating.

I have a sister-in-law who is into spinning and I will sometimes go with her. I find it an excellent workout.

That sounds dangerous.

I've done it just for ***** and giggles... Its as hard of a workout as you want to make it. Fun, good eye candy but fatties too... Only thing I didn't like was the gym 'know it all' has a little brother in spin class that thinks he knows cycling cause he spins.

If you like spinning, then why not buy a bike and go outside?
