The most amusing aspect of this thread is that it is a conversation I can imagine Patrick Bateman (of American Psycho) having with his buddies . . .
Jcusey: (Suddenly enthused) What's that, new suit? PB: Looks at new suit. What do you think? Manton lifts it up and examines the fabric very carefully. Manton: Whoa. Very nice. Take a look. He shows the suit it to Horace. PB: Picked it up from Bergdorf's yesterday Horace: Good coloring. PB: That's super 150's wool. And the pinstripe is something called pearl. Manton: (Envious) Pearl Pinstripe? Horace: It is very cool, Bateman. But that's nothing. He takes his jacket off and slaps it on the table. Horace Look at this. They all lean forward to inspect it. Jcusey: That's really nice. Bateman clenches his fists beneath the table, trying to control his anxiety. Horace: Pure cashmere with silk lining, handmade. (Turning to Bateman) What do you think? PB: (Barely able to breath, his voice a croak) Nice. Jcusey: (Holding the jacket up to the light) Jesus. This is really super. How'd a nitwit like you get so tasteful? Bateman stares at his own suit and then enviously at Manton's. PB: (V.O.) I can't believe that Jcusey prefers Manton's suit to mine. Jcusey: But wait. You ain't seen nothin' yet. He holds out his own jacket. Jcusey: Super 180's cashmere / silk, herringbone... BATEMAN (Choking with anxiety) Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Paul Owen's suit. Jcusey calls Paul Owen over and ask him to open the jacket; from the outside coat pocket he holds it up for their inspection, where they see the label: "H. Huntsman & Sons." Bateman swallows, speechless. The sound in the room dies down and all we hear is a faint heartbeat as Bateman stares at the magnificent suit. BATEMAN (V.O.) Look at that subtle navy blue coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a ticket pocket... His hand shaking, Bateman lifts it to feel the fabric and stares at it. He lets his hand fall.
