Stay Fresher Longer

Want to stay fresher longer?

1)
Learn from the ladies. Shave your armpits.
Best to take the razor in the shower with you,
and very gently, with no more pressure than the weight of the razor,
shave those pits!

Do this gently, and under the running water,
and you'll get no razor burn.

Repeat every 3 days or so as required.

2)
After your (hopefully) daily shower,
use a NON-scented womens deodorent stick.
Apply normally.
then, with a piece of tissue,
wipe your pits.
This will remove excess deodorent, leaving a thin layer only.

Unless you are doing physical labour,
you'll make it through the day no problem.

3)
Remember...you are what you eat.
Tone down on curry & garlic.
a little of anything is fine,
but over-doing it with spices WILL make you smell stronger, especially your sweat.
You may be as happy as a pig in clover,
but your officemates will give you the signal...you know...that grimacing smile;
that one where their lips smile, but their eyes hate.

4)
Use NON-glycerine soaps.
'Natural' soaps are more pricey,
but are far safer on the largest organ of your body;your skin.
While in the shower,
use soap only on your armpits, genitals, feet & hair.
The rest of your skin, you need only a good face cloth of terrycloth material,
and rub away.

5)
Get one of those exfoliator thingys for your feet,
and get in the habit of exfoliating the thick skin of the soles of your feet at the heel.
That nasty old skin adds to stinky feet,
so attend to it.

6)
brush your teeth after meals.
It astounds me how many (especially younger) people don't brush their teeth!
Then they have the nerve to say they have an oral problem.
Well they sure do.
Its called Halotosis.
It's caused by laziness.
Oh? bleeding gums when you brush?
Well congratulations.
It may mean you have contracted Scurvy, a disease not seen in 300 years,
possibly because McDonalds and bags of chips have not met your body's daily requirement of Vitamin C (and others)
(...and if bleeding is the case...best get to a dentist.)

When brushing your teeth,
remember to brush your TONGUE too.
Things get crusted on your tongue just as they do your gums.

I actually (many mant years ago) had a friend who LOST his girlfriend,
because he refused to brush his teeth.
No, he wasn't going through hard times.
He was just plain lazy.
Never listened to me, but several years later, when he started getting root canal work done,
he sure changed his habits.

Don't let that happen to you.

Anyway...hope these few tips help.
Probably we all know them anyway...but you never know.
Always someone learning.

-Peace.

Don't your armpits get really sweaty if you shave them? I don't want to soak my clothes.

Where's the difference between having the sweat under your shaven arms and from there soaked into the shirt or having the sweat on the hair under your arms and from there in the shirt? Both can be solved with a t-shirt under the dress shirt. You should smell less after shaving because the smell is created by the bacteria, which also live on these hair in great numbers. An addition to 6): You should brush teeth at least twice a day. But I know a lot of people (incl. myself) who don't like to brush teeth in office. A good solution then (and additionally to brushing the teeth) is mouthwash. It improves your breath, too.

The problem with mouthwash is that it leaves the mouth dry. Both anti-bacterial and anti-ceptic mouthwashes do that. A dry mouth is a perfect environment for bacteria to grow.

here is what i'd add to mouth freshness

7) Use a tongue cleaner every morning, a toothbursh is for teeth.

8) Use a mouth spray. I prefer to use it in the toilet. It works better when ur mouth is well hydrated.

I've been nairing my underarms since I was 17. It's so practical and hygienic that I cant understand why it isn't commonplace these days.

You'll keep drier if you apply a roll-on before you go to bed at night.
The active ingredient absorbs better overnight, and antiperspirant typically achieves its peak effectiveness 8-12 hours after application.

I use Dry Idea roll-on at night (unscented because I don't want to smell like "Powder Fresh"), and then a more masculine stick after my shower in the morning.

Without this routine, I'd drench my undershirt and dress shirt quickly.

Did you tell your mate about the scurvy? No wonder he didn't listen to you, he would have thought you were bonkers. Don't go India, you'll get the plague.

The pain that comes from root canal is only felt by the wallet.

Plus you need to doosh twice a day.

I agree with the starter's points, especially body shaving...makes a huge difference.

Do you guys actually shave your armpits? Isn't That up there with shaving your legs or forearms... you're a swimmer or you're ghey?
I keep my pit hair pretty short and/or shaved depending on how lazy and the mood I'm in. Found I actually sweat quite a bit less without so much hair under there, but results may vary.

Ah, so now we know why all her coworkers detect a faint waft of chode every time she walks by...
