I plan to buy a Rolex

Thread Starter
I shouldn't have picked up my Seiko .
Um, if you can afford a Rolex, it shouldn't really affect you financially that you just bought a Seiko. I love that an unemployed person in France can even think about buying a Rolex. Truly, France is a decaying society that is going to go broke unless it stops being a "welfare" state.

Why would he keep them? It's not like he needs 'workhorse' suits or anything. He just needs a few nice ones for job interviews, formal events/parties etc.

Well, the suits were a few sizes too big, for one...

Job interviews?? Ernest, have you ever seen Dirty Rotten Scoundrels? You know, the movie with Michael Caine playing a guy pretending to be a deposed ruler...

Its becoming very clear to me why the etymology for the word dé·jà vu is French. Interesting Factoid. Although ernest has only 2100+ posts (at this time) he is indirectly responsible for about 40% of the 121638 posts to date.

It's almost like Ernest enjoys the abus ehe subjects himself to Don't buy a Rolex. Spend your money on a better watch.

I hope it is a vintage Rolex. In that it is over 50 years old.

Rolex is Sooo over rated. Movement is not even that exquiste(spell). For that type of money, I'll buy a nice Attolini or Kiton suit and get a nice mid price ranged machanical watch.

I must say that as much as I love the Omega speedmaster, the Chronoswiss Timemaster is an absolutley beautiful watch: http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=1050928&rid=0 A little large for suits, but that dial is so wonderful.
