When I bought an iPhone I assumed it was already compatible with Sling, but I guess it took them a bit longer to get it developed. I wonder how well it will work with 3G - although with the Wifi it should be great.

I'm quite surprised more people don't own Slingboxes; it's such a great way to kill commute time. I would think it would work well with 3G. I've used mine a number of times with plain EDGE without any real quality issues.

I have no problems with At&T....they're considerably better than the carrier I was with before (Sprint). Plus the use of relying on SIM cards is a big improvement.

I guess it helps when your expectations are already so low.

The iPhone is the best phone on the market for most users, but its on one of the worst networks if you care about data speed and signal strength, both of which are crucial to such a feature-rich phone.

I don't know if it's changed since last year, but several sites and magazines had ranked AT&T's 3G as having the fastest data transfer. Otherwise....I agree, I was an iphone hater up until last week (mine arrived in the mail). I've been somewhat sold since, don't get me wrong, I still revert to my Blackjack2 for business use (typing), but the iphone is easily of one the best multimedia phones on the market.

Anyone else get the 3GS yet?

This thing is most definitely worth the upgrade...especially if you were a 1st gen iPhone owner like me.

The speed difference is unreal...this thing is like a Corvette whereas my 1st gen is a four banger. I've been comparing the speed difference of both phones on the same wifi network and the difference is not even funny....at least 5-8 seconds faster. Edge vs. Upgraded 3G is even worse.

The video camera and touch focus is sick. The rest of the features are good (especially copy/paste), but upgraded camera and improved speed overall really set this phone apart.

I know there are some haters out there that say other phones have been doing this for a while now, but none do it quite as well as the old iPhone.

I highhhhhhhly recommend it.

Off-topic, but somewhat on-topic.

What apps do you guys use/recommend? I only have the essential Facebook, PocketTouch, FreeMemory, and a couple of other games.

Jailbroken iPhone, that is.

I just use Facebook on occasion, my two favorite apps seem to be The Weather Network, and Bloomberg Mobile.
