i have a tan linen suit that i'd like to wear to a wedding next month and just want to hear what others might suggest to wear with it. right now im thinking about a white shirt and something a little more funky with the tie, but i haven't found the right one yet. for colors im thinking about some shade of orange and for pattern maybe paisley or polka dots. it might sound extreme, but i dont think it will come off that way.. at least not if i find the right tie. for shoes.. i am having another problem. essentially i do not own a pair of shoes to wear with this suit. i also don't have a small fortune to spend on shoes at the moment. so, im thinking under 200 dollars and maybe avoid lace-ups.. slip-ons and mocs fit much better in my closet. although for the right bargain, i could see myself getting a great pair of lace-ups. anyway.. thanks for the advice in advance.. oh.. and this is my first post, although ive been an avid reader since last year. btw, the suit jacket is cut very slim and short with a double vent. it has very square shoulders and two buttons. it's basically just a trendy piece that i picked up for fun in a recent trip to toronto.

I would suggest perhaps a soft pink shirt. Think pastels rather than brights. A seersucker tie might be nice. White bucks or spectators would set it off nicely. Don't forget the pocket square. In this case, silk or cotton, not linen.
