Leggings with Shorts - Page 6

I know these aren't exactly leggings but I just get confused whenever people seem to think skin tight pants on men are some new first-in-history type of thing.

I am fully aware that "skin tight" pants such as the ones in the images you posted have been around and go back in history so seeing men of today's 20th century world wearing them is not a shocking "first-in-history" thing. I'm just glad I wasn't around back then when it was a more everyday occurence. Knock yourselves dead, it's just not my cup of tee. I just prefer skin tight on woman and think it looks ridiculous on a man, what can I say.

As matter of fact, I encourage all of those on here who wear this sort of thing to post away in WAYWT to keep documentation of it alive for future reference. Thanks.

They say "the legs are the last to go"..... which is supposed to be about women, but applies to men too. I don't see the look moving far beyond athletic wear, but that's the starting point for a lot of men's fashion.

I'd try and wear them but not wanting to spend that much money to expiriment on something i'd rarely ever wear. I can see it looking good though if done right if you don't suck

I wore something like this in northern California back about 1990. Black JE Morgan waffle-knit thermals under jean shorts that hit about 2-3 inches above the knee, and a sweatshirt, maybe a short sleeve polo shirt underneath. Pretty standard cool weather casual stuff back then. Hard to say if they could ever make this look sophisticated though. Do it now with Underarmour Coldgear leggings with cord shorts and a pullover sweater ? City hikers and low cut wool socks. I don't know. I guess.

I actually wore Adidas tights and shorts to the gym today. If you like doing deadlifts but don't like scratching up your shins, it's a winning combination. I've seen quite a few guys wear this look fashionably - at least in the StyleZeitgeist vein. It's best if you're thin and have a lot of 'tude. But life's short - why not try it. Get a pair of sport tights rather than girl's leggings. Plenty of guys wear those, and they're probably cut more for your body. There's all kinds of insane articulated ones for runners and such.

get some gareth pugh or undercover leggings? both look great

Historically, you're right; no problem. But presently? Leggings are teh ghey.

And pretending you aren't able to distinguish the huge difference between "Dude, that's looks gay," and "Dude, your appearance suggests you are homosexual" is pretty disingenuous; you know exactly what such a comment means. "Ignorant?" "Grow up?" Oh, come on.

I cant see it widely catching on but non skin tight look pretty good!
