Advice sought to match shoe with tan belt

Which shoe would you select to match this belt? Allen-Edmonds Slayton Allen-Edmonds Colton Allen-Edmonds Troy Tod's They will be worn to the office (business casual). I thought the Tod's had a dolce vita charm to it. Is it acceptable to pair the tan belt with a darker shoe (e.g. brown)? Thanks for your thoughts...

Shouldn't you be starting with the shoes? All would match, but the middle two strike me as being the most useful.

I agree that all would be acceptable and close enough a shade to wear with the belt, but the top and bottom shoes seem to be the best match, colorwise.

Maybe it's just me, but all three of the AE shoes look to be the same color. It looks like the exact same AE belt that I have, and I've found that it works with pretty much any shade of tan. Unless you're some sort of a contortionist, your feet will probably never be close enough to your waist that anyone would pick up on a subtle difference of color. That being said, I think that any of the Allen Edmonds you've shown would work quite well and it really just depends on the style of shoe you like.

1) The belt is sufficiently close enough to all of the shoes. 2) Bradford is indeed right - as far as AE is concerned, the first three are the same shade, "Chestnut Antibes Calf". Any differences can probably be assigned to lighting and "normal" color variation (AE is notorious for having color variations in their browns.... I have 3 AE's in Chili, which look to be different colors when next to each other). 3) Next time, start with the shoes, then get the belt...

Yes, I remember that thread. Nice, indeed. As for the shoes, get whichever you like...they all go. I like the Coltons. Also, check out Florsheim's Kenmoor in handstained Cashmere calf. It's the only Florsheim left that I'd buy (and I have), and it comes in a long wing tip and a plain toe (the one I have). Gorgeous shoes with excellent leather that might match that of the belt...at least, it should be close. The belt I wear with mine is a tan Coach belt that is a bit lighter, but not so much that they don't go together.

How about this one? Even has the matching contrast stitching. Monk
