The only difference is perception. Black people will stab you if you use the n-word and gay people probably wont. That is why people do not worry about using gay in a derogatory manner. You can use the n-word the same way you can use fag. "This n-word is riding my bumper." Gay is an adjective and the n-word is a noun but I guarantee you if you said something like "Stop n-word lipping my cigarette around a black person in a predominately black neighborhood you would be in trouble. The difference is frat boys are scared of black people (and maybe they should be) and they are not scared of gay people.

I dunno about the OP, but it's not hard to 'handle' your friends. Unless you've let them demean you to the point where they don't take you seriously anymore...

Only one ended up showing up and he was totally fine. We all had teh good times.
