Home Mini Bar on the Cheap - Page 2

A bar gun at a home mini-bar is a gimmic. So is having beer on tap at home IMO. A nice fridge/cabinet with quality drinks inside are more important. Don't waste the money.

spend more on the liquor. I just bought a house with a full bar in the basement. I stocked up on a lot of liquor that I don't drink for guests and have a fridge full of different beers, bottled water, juices, soda, etc. Even mounted a bottle opener I got at world market. Life is good.

Nothing. I moved into a larger house where the kitchen is between the living room and the dining room.

The only reason I have a tap (actually have two) is because I brew and keg my own beer. Unless you are going to do this. Do not bother with it honestly it is a gigantic pain in the ass. The small glass front fridge with a great selection of brews will be much easier to maintain and I think look much better than my current rig.
