Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please. - Page 299
Hello!
Please excuse my mistakes, i am not a nativ speaker. ;-)
I want to buy some nice new t-shirts but i am not sure what to buy. I own like 10 basic v-necks with a nice fitting cut. But the quality isn't really good. (H&M)
My two questions are:
1. Where can or should i get some t-shirts with a decent quality? Prefer buying in the EU.
2. Is it ok to wear t-shirts with a print? Can you suggest me a brand which has nice looking prints.
I am new here and know nothing about style. This time of year I usually wear chino shorts polo or plain t shirt with sperry topsiders or low cut nike shoes. What do you guys think? Should I add anything to my wardrobe for this time of year? I would also like some advice on some good fitting jeans and where to buy clothes online. Thanks in advance.

Just a fair warning: that wardrobe is going to get a lot of hate around here. What's your budget (ie for a pair of jeans would you spend $50, $200, $500?) and what kind of climate do you live in? Obviously somewhat warm from your wardrobe, but 75 no humidity, 100 and 100% humidity, etc?
edit: Age as well would help.
I live in a similar climate and have recently discovered linen and am in love, it's super lightweight. Pants in that kind of heat might sound counter-intuitive, but linen pants will keep you cooler than chino shorts. Linen button downs are awesome as well.
Since you live in the middle of nowhere you're going to want online sites that have free shipping and free returns b/c you'll be returning a shit ton of the stuff you order. If you've never been to Nordstrom, it's a higher end department store that has plenty of nice clothes. Their website has free shipping and free returns, as does Zara, another store/website similar to Nordstrom but lower price/quality (still good stuff though, especially for getting started on a limited budget). The great thing about free shipping/returns is you can order one pair of jeans/shirt in three sizes, keep the one you like and return the rest, no harm done. Pretty much all Zara clothes are slim fitting, not necessarily skinny just nice and tapered throughout. And I think Nordstrom has a fit guide or something for each piece of clothing that says skinny, slim, regular, baggy, etc.
As for jeans, I just own a couple pairs from Nordstrom in the $80 range that I really like and fit great, don't even know the brands. There's a huge jean thread in Streetwear & Denim that will answer all your questions and I'm sure they have go-to brands that are best.
Sounds like you're more of a casual dresser (as most are at 20), might be worth your time to go browse the "MC Casual" thread in Men's Clothing and the "What Are You Wearing Today?" thread in Streetwear & Denim. Great way to see a ton of different casual outfits and get ideas for the way you want to start dressing.
Most size 15 shirts that fit my shoulder at too big around my belly (even slim/trim fit ones), and most size 14.5/15 shirts that fit my shoulder and my belly are too tight around my neck. I've tried numerous PRL, Charles Tyrwhitt, Paul Fredrick, JCrew, Luciano Barbera, and everything at Macy's. Nothing fits. Looking for something <$100, herringbone preferred, standard cuff preferred, continental US preferred.
I'm 5 feet 8 inches, 150lb, ~37 chest. I wear 32x30 pants. Most small tees are perfect around my belly but tight around my chest and arms, and medium tees are too loose everywhere.
I realize you said "preferably" <50 but these are worth the extra few.
