I've found the exact shape/profile I'd like to get, with a rounded toe and reasonably slim soul but in the wrong material, does anyone know where I could find a similar boot but in gray leather?

I think I'd be comfortable spending about $200 but could be persuaded to go higher by the right pair of boots.

I'm a bit new to all this so I'm not even sure what search terms to use to help me find what I'm looking for. I guess I'd even settle for other similar boot shapes

I'd also take suggestions of boots that look like the Loake Shilton. If I could find a picture of what they would look like with jeans that would be great. Being new to this I just don't know what they would look like.

While searching I did find this picture, but I'd really like some side on images to help me understand what I'm buying:

Thanks!

Don't know, but I like the first one, the green patch and loop looks cool, and the suede looks nice and worn sort of

How about a Norwegian split toe, like these Aldens, or chelsea boots, like from R.M. Williams?

I'm looking for some brogue boots for casual wear with APC Petit Standards... I want to buy something like the
Loake Banks http://www.shoeandboot.co.uk/assets/products/BANKS-1290.jpg
or Paul Smith Corso. http://selvagejean.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/87283_xrCGk.jpg

However they seem to be mainly UK only.

Where can I find a good pair of casual brogued boots, preferrably under $200, in the US?

Yes, get the Corsos. It's fairly easy to find a reasonable deal. Keep looking on ebay.com, ebay.co.uk and styleforum sw&d buying and selling forum.

Does anyone know a good brand for BD shirts (for wearing untucked) and/or knits for the short dude (5'6")?
Tried looking in the slim/short people thread but most of the talk is about slimness and not shirt length.
If it helps this (past) season's Uniqlo OCBD's were only an inch or two longer than I'd like (but were closer than anything I had tried before).

Not sure what your budget is, but I believe Band of Outsiders and Thom Browne shirts might work for you at 5'6".

I'm an inch and a half taller than you. So far what's worked is MTM, Wolf v Goat, Gant Rugger "Hugger" and Baron Wells. BOO looked a little off to me because of the extreme bib effect. Would look great if I shortened the bib hem by an inch or so. I think Baron Wells is actually the shortest OTR shirt I've found. All the shirts are equal length or longer than my Japan sized S Uniqlo except for Baron Wells. I don't know if US sizes are longer than the Japan ones.

Recommend me some new shirts for when I have to wear a tie to work. So far I've been getting slim/extra slim BB shirts and then having them darted because the collar/sleeve/chest fit. I wish I could buy the more formal point collar Epaulet shirts, but the measurements just don't work out. On more casual OCBD's, I can deal with some stuff being off in the collar/shoulders but it's unbearable for tie occasions. Am I just a mutant or something? 15 collar, 17.5 shoulder, 20 chest frown.gif

I'm looking for dress pants which are suited to wear at the office in a business casual enviornment. I'm going to wear it with a dress shirt. It's going to be my first dress pants for work. So I'm wondering if you have any suggestions how I should build up my wardrobe; what brands are good for dress pants, color, etc?
