Is there a good heavy khaki jean out there? Levi 514 cut is perfect, they even used to make khaki 5pocket style, but they are impossible to find now.

Try Urban Outfitters they sometimes have that type of jean.

i feel like it's difficult to start right off the bat and trying to copy JKISSI with patterns and colors. these things take time to develop, but everybody needs a starting point

and JKISSI had to start from somewhere. I feel like the most basic place you can start out in building a wardrobe is upgrading the basic jean and t-shirt concept.

once you have the basic you can start building on pattern and color and figure out where you want to go.

-_- this is my fundamental theory of style -_-;;; you don't have to follow if you want to, but I don't see how you can get any more basic of a starting point then blue jeans, white t-shirt, boots.

I find it disturbing that you admit to telling everyone the exact same advice for style when, IMO, style is something inherently very personal and takes into account a lot of factors that only the wearer must prioritize.

PS: Regarding JKISSI, I wasn't talking pattern or colors. Just that the dude has personal style, and the way you approach advice to newbies takes the exact opposite route.

I'm looking for a good slim fitting, neutral colored (probably just white), collared/button up shirt. It seems like a pretty easy thing to find, but there's nowhere around me with a good cut.

I'm also looking for a few things to wear over that on a casual/daily basis. Not sure what, maybe a simple blazer or jacket, sweater, something...that's where I could use a bit more of a recommendation.

Good brand for a moccasin/boat shoe type of shoe? I like some of the Quoddy styles but my budget is way below that.

I've seen a lot of people recommend Sperry Top-Sider. They're pretty cheap and seem like decent quality. However, I've found that the Sperry classic boat shoe is the least comfortable of their models because it has little arch-support. I went with the Mako canoe shoe. It's a step up in terms of comfort from the classic boat shoe, but looks better than the even more comfortable but extremely gaudy sneaker-boat-shoe hybrid (I forget the name). Of course, you might find the classic boat shoe comfortable; I'm just extremely used to wearing sneakers.

Those Quoddy's are called a boat shoe but they're more of a blucher like LL Beans. Sperry's only have 2 eyelets and a way bigger opening (i.e. more of your foot is exposed). L.L.Bean blucher mocs are what you want. Hand sewn and only $70 and you can probably find some sort of coupon. These are someone else's...

http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/sto...rom=SR&feat=sr You want the saddle color, cactus is ugly but saddle is gorgeous in person and they age really well. I've had my pair for a year and they're fantastic, my uncle just gets a new pair every 5-10 years.

Hi y'all.

Yes would agree with this comment from nomad about wanting a slimmer profile. Try out the 514's or 511's.

1. So am I. 2. Girl in your avatar is so hot; who is it? 3. Does anyone have recs for undershirts that are longer than Hanes (I'm talking a good 3-4 inches longer) and have a deep enough V that they're invisible under shirts with 1 or even 2 buttons unbuttoned?

It sounds like you're looking for a plain white collared shirt? For slim fits, check places like H&M, J. Crew, Ralph Lauren custom fit, Ralph Lauren rugby, Brooks Brothers slim fit. As for things to wear over that, I don't think you could go wrong with a navy or gray blazer or sweater.

I'm looking for a decent leather belt I can wear with jeans and khakis. I'm looking to spend under $50. At this price, I could probably just pick something at random, but I figured maybe someone had some advice at the lower price range.

Spend the extra $15 and get a Tanner Goods belt... http://www.tannergoods.com/?page_id=...&product_id=82 It'll age beautifully into a dark carmel color and will last a while, I've had mine for almost two years and while the color has developed into a fantastic carmel brown the leather and belt itself is still very sturdy just supple and soft.

Not undershirts, but AA has deep v-necks that are also quite long (at least, for me). Wear one by itself and you'll look like hipster scum, though (whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you).

I'm a skinny 5'6" and I just dont think 501STF's will work out well for me...

So I'm looking for something under $100 as an alternative, and any advice where to get them and get them in the right size.

I also don't think I'll be able to clock in 24/7 365 with the jeans... so "faster break ins" are something I'm interested in....

EDIT: UniQlo's maybe? What exact models? There seems to be tons.

Not sure how fast they fade, though.
