i am looking for black jeans comparable to the RRL slim in black, i want black warp/weft so it's the same color cuffed, and preferably selvage denim, but hey -- i'm not terribly picky. raw or prewashed doesn't matter, but i'd like something available in a 30 or 32 inseam. what are my options?

I've asked this before (without many replies), but do any cheap brands make slim sweaters/cardis? American Apparel cardis fit me really well, but their prices are a little much, considering that their stuff is made out of jersey (rather than merino, or even lambswool). I know H&M stuff can be good, but their color schemes are usually a little eurotrash-y for my tastes.

For what it's worth, you can get AA cardigans wholesale for $22 from chim on sufu: http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk...&postcount=415

Wmmk- Sometimes you pay for the styling. As long as it fits well, looks nice, and isn't going to just fall apart instantly, don't worry about it that much. You can't go looking for loake, alden, or kiton, on a $50 shoe budget. If you're on a super budget like your's, you have to make sacrifices. Also, i have a cardi from gap from a few seasons back that is wool and while sized down and not "perfect" fits pretty well. The quality of the wool and stitching isn't great, but it got the job done for me when it was a wardrobe staple of mine a year or two ago.

WMMK - not sure if it helps, but no. If you find a cheap sweater, it's really thin and cheap feeling. I've found some great ill-fitting sweaters I've altered out myself, but it seems that sweaters are one of those things when it's hard to find a cheap good slim fit in.

Can someone recommend me shoes that go well with shorts... please no boat shoes or sneakers Like Wmmk I'm on a budget, any suggestions?

Trackstarr I can't believe you're asking this. Haven't there been like, two threads and a bajillion posts made satirizing this? Listen, shorts are just like jeans, they go with everything. The easiest way is to just get yourself some boat shoes or some white low tops. WMMK- Did you ever make it out to Reiss? I also continue to stand by Club Monico as my go to place for sweaters. All the cardis I've bought from them have been purchased for less than 60 bucks; quality is a lot better than J Crew, H&M, AA, or anything you can find in a mall really.

Suggest light weight casual pants. I never wear anything besides jeans (or shorts occasionally) unless I need a to wear a tie so this is new territory for me. Also were to buy and I'd prefer they be best value for the price and under $100.

Recommend me combat boots that are sleek, made with reasonable quality leather, and are under $200. Or any similarly styled plain black lace-up boots in that price range, preferably as tall as GTs or taller.

Military surplus from USA or canada (a couple decent models of boots). Otherwise, it's hard. I've seen some from kenneth cole collection that look alright. A sufu guy i know has them and they look ok
