Guy at top: 1 pair of jeans. 1 piece of versatile outerwear. 1 pair of boots, 1 pair cheap basic sneakers. Rest goes to basics and tailoring said basics: the styleforum starter kit. Honestly if I'd just started at building up a streetwear wardrobe and bought my W+H denim, NiCo boots, NiCo trench and the W+H flannel I just got today (or the similar one I got in 07), I would have a solid place to build from. All of that cost me about 1000 altogether. Toss in a few tees and go from there. Of course he could easily do something similar but less expensive and have plenty left over for basics, but then he'd just be replacing everything down the road... sort of a judgment call. By the way, whatever happened to the newbie questions forum? Exhibit 93,881 as to why that would be a good thing.

There are at least 3 Dior proxies on Styleforum. The NYC guys sell new 19cm MIJ raws for $325 shipped. One guy is selling them (limited sizes) for under $300 I think

What's your size? anything under 31 will be most likely sold out in stores but plentiful in the buy/sell threads.

The real answer is, this is impossible... just buy some basics, and accumulate the rest slowly, or else you will risk throwing money away / selling everything in a few months

Recommend a good brand for a nice quality leather wallet <$100?

Honestly, anything tighter than the MJK skinnies and April 77 Costellos is just retarded for khakis. The A77s/MJK skinnies are really pushing it as is, and are only able to pull of younger hip type looks. I still like my a77s though.

But then the OP is a troll so I'd just spend the $$$ on blowjobs and unicorns.

basically i just told him all the shit I have, and a few things I don't that would fit into my wardrobe if i had the funds thisguy did.

I'd say buy a cheaper cardigan, and get some Crates instead of sliqs.

I really wish I had $1000 when I started getting into clothes, threw out my entire wardrobe, and bought all of those things with the two substitutions I made. Too bad it wouldn't work out so well anyways because nothing fits my tiny chest.

best cheap gingham shirt? Jump the gun? any other suggestions?
BR had Thomas Mason and Albini shirts marked down this week. $60ish There was yellow and blue gingam that I know of. My store didn't have much left though, both gingams were gone. I just ordered from JtG based on Get Smart's glowing reviews, haven't gotten them. Their stuff looks sharp and the price is nice.

Anywhere I can find a quality heather-grey knit cardigan, with no pockets on the sides and a slimmer fit? I've seen some at places like Urban Outfitters and American Apparel, but they look too flimsy.
