Say you're paying for a dinner party...parties over 6 or 8 have an auto-tip figured in. If service was good, what is a reasonable tip on top of this? This happened the other night, bill was about $550 with tax and tip (which was pre-added) and I threw in another $50, so about 10% on top of the 18% added automatically. Just wondering if people in the service industry have feedback on this scenario. If this was about average/above/below the standard tips.
