Asparagus pee

I ate asparagus for dinner about 1.5 hours ago and I already have asparagus pee.

This this normal?

I've noticed it within 30 minutes.

The Wikipedias confirm something I read in a textbook a while back: the relevant chemicals break down and pass through the kidneys within 15-30 minutes.

Those conclusions were corroborated in a study by Dr. I.P. Freely as well...

Asparagus contains methionine -- sulfur-containing amino acid that iis broken down to methanediol and excreted via urine.

Ive noticed it the first pee after I ate asparagus. 15 minutes isnt hard to believe.

That distinctive asparagus pee smell is just another positive attribute of the wonder vegie that is asparagus. The savoring just goes on and on.

The smell comes quickly.
