Higher end braces/aldens in dc/ny?

DC has an Alden shoe store at 1725 K Street, NW, half a block west of the Farragut North metro station.  I've never been in the store, so I can't say anything about the prices.  The next best place to find Aldens is probably Nordstrom, which has by far the best shoe selection of any large department store in the DC area.  Nordstrom has locations at the Pentagon City mall (right above the metro station of the same name) and Tyson's Corner Center in Northern Virginia (if you have a car). If you like English shoes, there is a Church's shoe store a little more than a block away from the Alden store, at 18th and L streets (next to the Borders book store).  They're currently having a 40-50% sale on many styles, although I'm not sure if the sale will still be going on at the end of the month. I can't help you with braces because I don't wear them.  You may want to try J. Press, across the street from Church's.  Nordstrom, again, will probably have a good selection.
