Alterations in Brisbane, AU - Page 3

Just an update for brisbanites. Just gave Richards & Richards a call, its appears George no longer does alterations... at least for suits not bought instore. Anyone else (particularly his regular clientele) found this?

Try "orange mode clothing & alterations" in Fortitude Valley.  I follow them on facebook.  Opposite the RACQ building on St Pauls Tce.  Great service and top quality work. Hope that helps for anyone in need of this work done. I realise the thread is old but when I find a business I like dealing with, I tell the world!!

I'm going to resurrect this thread again, has anyone else found the same thing as Thanos? It seems Richards & Richards have also moved again to the Valley.

Where have they moved to?

I got a jacket taken in at the sides, (was too big in torso, slightly to big in chest) and sleeves taken up at Regents Tailors in the city recently. Was happy with the service.

Yes, that's right. Once R&R opened in its new premises and started to get busy, George only did in-house alterations.

R&R recently moved from the corner of Edward and Charlotte Streets in the city down to somewhere just off James St in New Farm. I haven't been to their new premises as yet but I assume that the situation concerning no outside alterations will unfortunately be the same as previously.

Tony at Regent Tailors is good. I've used him a couple of times now that I can't use George and have been very happy with the results, although I do miss George's humour.
