On the 5 EPs, what is the wear like? Details please? Compare them to a pair that had been worn 5 days a week. How many weeks/months/yrs old would they look? Any fading? Is that 30" Inseam exact? Can you double-check plz?

I honestly see no wear whatsoever on them. They look very pristine. I would say they have been worn maybe a week absolute max. Also the Inseam is definetly 30". Thanks for the interests

After searching, I couldn't find an absolute answer. But is 5ep denim the same for one-wash, dark worn, and raw?

Is it just different treatments to the denim and overtime they will show the same color tones?

Yes, they are all made of the same proprietary denim.

Yes, they are just different treatments, but no, they will not age the same over time. The different treatments will have subtle effects on the ageing process. The one wash, resin treated jeans start with a matte black tone, and even after repeated wearing over an extended period and several washes, will retain a darker tone. The dark worn are made to appproximte wear, but again, because the wash is set with resin, it is more colorfast and darker (after repeated wearing and washing) than the raw denim jeans.

I may be interested in the 5-ep's. I'm not worried about the hemmed inseam, but I'm new to denim and I'm not sure about the fit on the 31" waist. My only point of comparison is a pair of raws, the naked and famous 'weird guy' which i've been wearing in waist size 32 for about two weeks. These fit well everywhere, except for having stretched about 1/2 inch away from my waist. They still fit well everywhere else in the upper block (thighs, seat) so I don't yet need a belt.

Any thoughts by those more experienced on how these might fit me? What might I expect in terms of stretch (or shrinkage) in these 1 wash 5ep's ? I understand these are boot cut, but the cut seems slight, and I wouldn't mind a pair that fall straight (rather than stacking) to my shoe.

I realize this is all pretty speculative.

Trapp- I have a pair of 5EP LDB 32s and they run very big. I really need a 31 (damn these for being hemmed.) I wear a 32 in Nudie RRDS and pretty much any vanity sized jeans. I measured my waist and it's 34.5" so I don't know how I need a 31 in these, but I do. Take that FWIW.

P.S. Most awesome jeans I've ever had.

This is true. 5eps are the shizznit! I have them in both raw and dark worn. Both are size 31. I can say that the raws are slightly looser and will stretch a tad more. My raws measure 17" and my dark worns measure 16.5" across. So to Trapp, it really depends on how you wear your jeans. But for reference, I am also a 32 in RRDS and 31 fit me perfect. Your best bet is to measure the waist across your best fitting jean and compare. As for the bootcut, it is very slight, almost unnoticeable. They are between a slim straight leg and slim boot cut. Truly the perfect cut for many body types. Do note that these jeans are anti-fit, so they aren't designed to wrap your bottom area, which is ideal for me.
