Altea I know. They make a good quality Italian tie, which would be a step below the top tier guys (Nicky, etc.). A local men's shop sells them in the just under $100 range. I wore a silk-linen blend Altea tie yesterday, and used to own another (sold it because it was too long for me). Holland and Sperry I know nothing of outside of seeing them at STP. The best ties at STP are the Drake's, IMO.
The Holland and Sperry is also called Holland and Sherry on certain parts of their website. Holland & Sherry is a world-class fabric firm (merchant? mill?) at one point affiliated with Kilgour. However, these ties are made in the USA, so their connection to Holland & Sherry may be at most that of a licensee with a prestigious name.
I got one thats not up on the site anymore. I was told that i was likely getting the last one but she can't guarentee it. Its a lighter blue with a gold dots. It was the best looking one of the lot and they were only $34.95. So hopefully i'm gonna get it but i need brighter ties.
Thanks to Demeis for the heads-up on these ties. I picked up one of the Altea woven paisley ties in lavender - a pattern/color combination for which I've been looking for some time - and it's just now arrived on my doorstep. Ties a great Windsor. Did you end up getting your Drake's, Demeis?
