Youstar? Korean clothes / brand or something? - Page 4

A lot of Korean made products are relatively similar to Japanese made products. They are known to compete with each other on things such as electronic product, services, and clothings.

If those boots were actually made in Korea, I wouldn't be too concerned for their quality.

Ok I got the long sleeve shirt for a size test I got xl which is one size larger than usual and fits ok still I find it a little snug around the cuffs so I will definitely stay with the idea of upsizing for my next order at least I can feel a little more confident now I have tested the size as for the quality it's ok no problems

I noticed any shirt I buy in Korea has the shoulder seem a little farther up my shoulder. I'm inclined to think they have narrower shoulders.

I've bought a few of items from the EBAY BUYER Youstar. It technically isn't the brand according to the tags. Its more something like Jinniy, Too lazy to actually check it in my closet. I bought a white button up long sleeve, a trench coat and a few other items. I tried it out by buying one hoodie and it was 1 size too small. Quality 6.5/10 M = S US Material felt a bit cheap, the zipper are on the cheap end of the stick. When i put my hand in the pockets it would scratch my hands. If it wasn't for the design it would be 4/10. Korean sizes are like .5x smaller than UK and UK sizes are 1 full size smaller than US. It would shed a lot of lint if rubbed against another piece of clothing. So Avoid wearing black with grey, white with black coat. There are a few pseudo pockets on this but they are in places where you would never keep anything there to begin with. I bought a size larger than i needed because of the small Korean sizing. i felt like it was unnecessary for this one time, but no one would know if its tad big or not since its a trench. The inside lining has a velvet- silk like material that is there to avoid the Lint-magnet problem but covers about 95% of the inside. Its mainly more of the center line of the button area that isn't covered for some odd reason. Quality 4.5 L = M US Material feels cheap, feels like a sweatshop manufacturer. This should would be absolutely amazing had it not been see through when worn. It is extremely thin. Wearing an undershirt would not cut it. It would look like wearing a T-shirt under a button up. Design, Diagonal grey-black plaid. I thought the design would be seamed into the shirt instead of that 80's rubber print that would fade away from washing. Size again was small should have gotten a bigger size. Tight around the shoulders. First encounter Out of my purchases I say I really love the trench coat and everytime i made a purchase i ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS. Especially about the size the seller on ebay is extremely helpful. AVOID WHITE AND BLACK PRODUCTS! Black = Material makes you look cheap, White = are you naked? Overall I really like the designs but the ebay pictures don't do it justice when it actually shows up at your door. The quality is on the low end at best decent. If you purchase this expect at least 1 downfall of the product, besides the sizing and the way the material feels on your skin. Some of the designs are absolutely ridiculous. Be careful some of the items at first look may not but will make you look like you just came off a boat with that wild designs. You pay what you get. This is good stuff if you're short on cash. This thread is the fourth result if you Google "youstar", and #2 and 3 are the Ebay store. I'd guess people stumble across the store on Ebay, then Google to find out about it and end up here.

I absolutely love love love this brand. I actually found it browsing on ebay a while back and have ordered a little over $400 worth of clothing from them. I LOVE their styles and was wondering if anyone could recommend a similar brand to them in terms of style.

Which leads me to my one and only problem with them. Shipping times are fine, considering they're shipping from Korea ( im from Canada ), prices are fantastic ... BUT : their SIZES ARE SMALL AS HELL !!! This is a huge barrier holding me back from spending even more money with them. Please beware, their sizes are for some reason about 2 sizes too small. Basically, if you're not a thin as a rail, somewhat vertically challenged Asian, be very careful with the sizes. I recently bought 5 AMAZINGLY designed dress/casual shirts, all 2XL ( biggest they offered ), and was soooo disappointed to find out that none of them fit ( ive never had shirts so tight on me before ). I really am in love with how they seem to approach the design of their clothing, its just the right balance between very fashionable/modern, without it being too over the top.

Here I sit with 5 brand new youstars/doubleju shirts still in the damn packaging, wishing I could wear them out on weekends. Im not "huge" either. Im about 5'10", and a fit 195lbs, not "buff" by any stretch and when I tried on those shirts ( the ones that I could actually get on ) I felt like I would blow the buttons apart if I breathed hard. I just wish the brand would realize that not everyone in the world is 5'2 and 110lbs. I think they could open up to so much more business if they expanded their size ranges a bit.

Considering all that, if you are a smaller framed dude then I say go for it. Order 1 at first and you'll be able to kind of get a sense of their sizing. I see shirts retailing close to $100 in stores that arent even half as fashionable and well designed as these "youstars" guys.

So can anyone familiar with that brand recommend me another brand with similar flair ( and hopefully cost ), but with somewhat more realistic sizing ?

It's a Korean brand, it's sized for Koreans genius. You're 200 lbs at 5'10". This is just typical Korean fast fashion stuff, nothing to get excited about. Try Yesstyle if you're into stuff like this I guess, but I prefer Japanese brands.

My apologies, I didnt know I had to state that my comments were my opinion and not law. Question; is yesstyle any better when it comes to sizes ? Or are they also "small Asian" sizes ? Any other recommendations to similar styles but regular sizes ?

It's an actual suggestion. The stuff sold by brands like that are very similar to the stuff typically sold at fast-fashion stores a la H&M. I'm not sure what's so distinctive about Youstar that you're looking for elsewhere, so maybe if you could point that out I could help you find something.

Try your local Van Husen outlet store, or Old Navy, or Macy*s Charter Club, or any other mid-line branded clothes. They're made by the same sweatshops with 12 hour day, 1/2 hour lunched $3.50/day employees as these guys. $3.50 goes a long way where they are even though medical and dental insurance is not included or offered. Vacations are offered, however they are permanent. Oh yeah, the labels are different.
