I did it, and ended up marrying her. We don't work closely together, have different reporting structures and work on different floors but all for the same agency. For us, it's never been an issue. In fact, it's rather enjoyable to have her understand my job and it's inherent ups/downs.

You should be given an award or something...

I've tried twice... consequently, both failed miserably !

Best advice: don't do it. There are women at various workplaces I have attended who I have either done something with or wanted to. Something always comes along, I'd move on, she'd move on, whatever. But then it's usually awkward afterwards, if you bring in another woman one day, or she brings in a man.

Best off just avoiding it.
